I am finding I am hungry more often too. If so, I have vegies and fruit ready for me, most of the time a few bites does the trick.

Welcome Melissa! You came to the right place for support and guidance, this site has been a godsend for me! I can honestly say this is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I too was scared, confused etc but I was tired of being sick and tired. I wanted to be there for my family and this surgery is making that possible. I am down 85 lbs, 20 to go and I feel fantastic. I have no health issues anymore, blood pressure is perfect, cholesterol is right where it needs to be etc. I had absolutely no issues with my surgery, I was ready to go back to work in a week but Doc made me take 3. I tell everyone who asks me what I did and how much it has changed my life. Best of luck to you on your journey, I believe you will not be disappointed. Keep us posted! Hugs! -
You so need a second opinion....there is obviously an issue! Call your insurance and give them hell! Hugs to you for a speedy diagnosis.

Just start from the beginning again, lots of protein, vegies and very little carbs. I have been at a stall for 7 weeks but I havent gained but I havent been trying too hard either. We can do this! Hugs to you!

Looking good! If you have that craving for sweets...take a bit or two, it does help curb the cravings. I have a bite or two every once in a while and it is working for me. Good luck and best wishes for your continued success! -
4 Months Out...
kimmy*custis replied to courtney333's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Lots of water, walking and up your eating. I would hit stalls, up everything and break the stall...worked every time! Give it a try! My friend hit a stall and her Doc told her she wasnt eating enough...go figure! -
I feel the same way. I want to help everyone! Like Chris said, maybe you could speak at a support group, that would hopefully motivate some to make the choice to change their lives.

8 Months Out Today....
kimmy*custis replied to kimmy*custis's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Thanks everyone! Wishing you all continued success! Happy Friday everyone! -
Today is my 8 month surgiversary and I am down 70 lbs since surgery, 85 total since Jan 15th. Sure, I wish I was at goal ( 20 lbs to go) but I feel I have done well. I know without my surgery I would not be where I am today for sure! I have minimal saggy skin, would be less if I could get my exercise on track but that is another story! Thanks to all my fellow sleevers for their help and inspiration with their successes and failures, it has helped me get to where I am today! Hugs to you all!

You need to quit concentrating on what you cant have. You will be able to eat normal foods again...albeit smaller portions. You made a decision to change your life...for the better. You are healthier and can be there for your kids and family. I am 8 months out and can eat pretty much anything I want. You will too...in time, in moderation!!!! I went to my nieces b-day and had two bites of cake...I was ok with that. You too will be fine. Good luck, it will be fine!

New Member. Is The Pain Really Bad Right After Surgery?
kimmy*custis replied to FrankenSleeve's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
For me it was very minimal. I used the pain pump the day of surgery and the pain was manageable. I went home the next day mid day and they sent me home with liquid vicodin and that was used the first two days then I was fiine without any meds. I felt worse coming out from the anesthesia honestly. I too, had no gas pain...thank goodness! -
