First thing...dont be so hard on yourself, you are down 35 lbs right? Sure, it isnt as fast as some of us but like they say...everyone is different. You seem to have a lot less to lose than most and sometimes weight loss is just slow...I know it sucks but look at the positives, less saggy skin, not having to buy new clothes every month etc. How much are your eating? How about water intake? I lost really quickly but now it is slowing the last 35 for me too. I try to mix it up, add more calories, change the workout routine when I have a stall and it seems to work. Best of luck to you and be easy on yourself, stress doesnt help weight loss either. Hugs to you!

"yes, I Asked For The Side, Not The Large Salad..."
kimmy*custis replied to AliveAgain's topic in Rants & Raves
I completely understand and have been there. I have no problem telling them to bring me a to-go box right away with my meal and explaining why. I go home with 3-4 more meals, I am a cheap date! I tell everyone I can about my surgery, keeps them from wondering if something was "wrong" with the food. -

The Right Surgeon And/or Hospital
kimmy*custis replied to NHJulie's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I got real lucky, my pcp is part of U.C Davis hospital group in Sacramento and they have some of the best weight loss surgeons in the area. The main surgeon actually trains others on the procedure so I was sold. I didnt really have to search but I would do some research, read some reviews and go from there. Word of mouth is normally the best. Maybe go to some support groups in your area and see what they have to say about their surgeons. Good luck to you! -
Oh yes, if you didnt hurl...you are good. They are nasty!

Acid Reflux After Surgery?
kimmy*custis replied to Iwant2Bthatgirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am on a acid reducer for the first 6 months...and I do notice it when I forget to take it. I woke up in the middle of the night with horrible acid reflux...I almost felt like I was choking and then it is hard to get that taste out of your mouth...pretty gross. -

What Can You Eat Post-Op?
kimmy*custis replied to thehappycat's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was able to have protein drinks the day I came home. I was eating mushies at 1 1/2 to two weeks and soft at 3 weeks. I bought several different protein drinks, crystal light, milk, yogurt, broths and soups ( which I blended to make smooth) Good luck! -

Raising Calorie Intake To Break A Stall
kimmy*custis replied to sgarelick's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When you dont have enough calories your body goes into starvation mode, slowing your metabolism and burning the calories very slowly. Upping the calories kicks your metabolism back up thus burning calories faster and starting weight loss again. It does work...I change up my calories regularly. -
