  1. I just realized we both had surgery within 2 days of each other, and we're both down 53 lbs! How cool is that?!
  2. That IS a good thing - congrats!!

    I Made It To Underhand!

Congrats!! I'm 10 lbs away from Onederland myself so I know how exciting that must be! I'm almost 3 mos out and like you, I realized I was losing more by increasing my calories - right now I'm averaging between 800 - 900 cals a day, and that seems to be working good for me.
  4. I'll continue to vote for you every day as well - good luck! That would be awesome if you won - no one deserves it more than YOU!
  5. If you haven't already, make sure to check out other sleevers who are documenting their journeys on YouTube - they were so helpful to me when I was pre-op and researching the different options. Good luck to you!
  6. I've been wondering the same thing!

  8. Way to rock that sleeve! Congrats!

    Nsvs At Reastaurants!

Couldn't agree with you more! And I love being able to bring my leftovers home - I can usually get like 3-4 lunches out of it

    The That Would Never Come

Good luck and congrats on the start of your new journey!
  12. I did the exact same thing - small flour tortilla with taco meat. I did end up throwing some of it up, but the good thing is that I tried it again a few days later and it was fine. The difference was this time I ate 1/2 of the taco, waited about 20 mins and ate the other half. Lesson learned for me, too!!
  13. Please believe me when I tell you - your feelings are TOTALLY normal! This is a major life change, so it makes sense that you would feel that way. I know I went from being so excited one day, to being scared to death and full of doubts the next day... it was exhausting! LOL! I even had my doubts right up until they put that IV in my arm and wheeled me off to surgery, but I am so glad I didn't back out. I'm almost 2 mos post op and couldn't be happier - try not to worry too much, you will be fine. Good luck and keep us posted!
  14. That. is. awesome! Before you know it you'll be doing a new post titled "I Love My Sleeve!"
  15. Holy crap - you look amazing! I think it's time for you to do an update on YouTube as well!

I chew SF gum all the time - no problems! It helps keep my mouth busy in between meals Just be careful with it...

Hi - I'm finally going to try and start using MyFitnessPal. My question is: I'm going to start out by just tracking calories, protein and carbs for now. How can I set my minimum daily protein to a higher number than what they suggest, as well as lower calories than what they suggest? Also, I'm not sure how low I should be keeping my daily carbs? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
  21. Thanks for the great idea - I'm gonna go out and look for these TODAY!
  22. That's great news - happy healing!
  23. Welcome to the losers bench! I think it's safe to say that you ARE through the roughest part - good luck! :cheer2:

We All Scream For Ice Cream :)

One thing that I did was I took plain Greek yogurt (nasty by itself!) and added like 2 oz of store-bought frozen yogurt to make myself think it was ice cream. It's actually really good, plus you get good protein from the Greek yogurt - I still eat it once in a while for a treat! :biggrin2:
  25. You sound exactly the way I did before surgery - I had my doubts right up until they put that IV in my arm and wheeled me off to the operating table! Please know that it's totally normal to have last minute jitters - before you know it you'll be on the loser's bench and thanking your lucky stars that you didn't back out! :Banane10:
