  3. [Oh, you don't sound bossy at all. I needed some advise. I will think about calling him or at least the Nutritionist. Thanks again Carol. Keep me posted about your results. ] Not to sound bossy or like a know it all, because goodness knows I don't, but I wouldn't wait until I lose any weight at all. We have all know been less then successful when trying to lose weight before we fill in the blank. I assure you that your doctor has seen patients who have gained all their weight back and are just happy they are back in the groove and ready to move forward again. I myself gained 5lbs over this summer after a 70lb weight loss but when o the doctor, got an adjustment and hope to lose my remaining 50-60lbs! I was tempted to cancel appointment so doctor wouldn' see a gain but figured that is a slippery slope I didn't want to stand on.
  4. Thanks Caorl, I am just so upset with myself. I will go back to my MD when I loose at least 15 lbs. I feel like all his work was a waste. Thank you for the much need encouragment. Corney, you only failed if you don't continue to try. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, go back to your doctor and start all over again.....You can do it

Hi I had the surgey at Kaiser Richmond. It went real well. It was an outpatient surgery. I went in at 8am and was out by 12n. No real pain at all. Just a little sore. Recovery was fast. I just want to suggest that you up go to your support groups after surgery. I didn't and gained a lot of weight back Do what they tell you to do. ] Hi I just begun my journey and decided lap band is best for me, I have a BMI of 54 (ugh), going through Kaiser to have procedure done and insurance say's I'm covered, checked 3 seperate times now to make sure, DR is writing my referral for the surgery once I complete the introduction class in a few weeks, began working out riding excercise bike 8-10 miles a day for 40 min and jogging in pool for another 20-30min evry other day, and started 1200 calorie/day diet hoping to drop some lbs in advance to get the ball rolling and get used to whats instore, been cutting my food into tiny pieces, and chewing to mush to used to that, I've had enough of being fat Anyone else gone through Kaiser or can offer what I should expect in coming weeks, I do know I will be required to lose 10% I was told of current weight, is this true I have read some posts that drs just want you to make an effort and lose what you can before surgery, basically what am instore for in coming week, tests, physc exam? etc thanks
  6. I Meagan, I was banded in May of 2009 and only lost about 20 Lbs with two filles. I have gained most of my weight back. About 30 lbs ! I am ashamed and do not want to go back to my MD because I have failed Congrates on your New Baby Girl. Hello All! I was banded in November of 2008 and lost 70 pounds!! Last year I let myself start gaining the weight back and then got pregnant in August. While I was pregnant I had all of the Fluid taken out of my band and am now back to almost my pre-surgery weight. I have a beautiful baby girl now and I'm ready to get my weight loss journey back on track! I have an appointment next Tuesday with a new doctor! I am excited and nervous to start this all over again! I look forward to becoming an active member of this forum.. Hope you all have a blessed day!! -Meagan
