    Cookies

    after my surgery i had dreams about gravy. Every day for a week or so. And the weird thing is, besides my moms gravy at holidays i never ate gravy. I have a cookie on occassion. I never keep them in the house, i had an oreo and the chocolate turned my stomach. i do enjoy a graham cracker or animal cracker once in awhile, and they arent nearly as bad so i dont feel guilty. i had the flu for a week and lost 9 pounds. For the 2 days afterwards i ate the most food i have eaten since my surgery. I had a whole pack of animal crackers. You know, the ones that comes in that cute box that looks like a zoo lol. and they were DELICIOUS!!! Dont sweat a cookie or two. We have to live as normally as we can, and who doesnt have a cookie once in awhile.

    i am already starting a boobie fund just incase. My boobs have alway been a pretty decent size before i got fluffy but if i need them ill buy them. The rest i think ill be ok with. Im exercising daily and my arms are already taking shape, and i can feel my abs under the extra layers so i think if i get a new chest ill be ok with the rest!
  3. uughhhh i have tried them too, but i just cant choke them down, after the fitst drink i was gagging and burning my throat, i tried it warm though, and i had the watermelon flavor. I will have to try the grape and put it in the fridge before i drink it. i will try anything not to have to worry about my protein everyday!
  4. When i didnt put my weight and height and age into elliptical it is way off from my fitness pal, but when i put all that info into the machine its about even. The heavier you are, the higher you get your heart rate you burn more calories. so try to check your heart rate as well while working out. Most machines have the heart rate moniter. I bought a timex heart rate moniter and it is awesome! counts calories, heart rate, and fairly affordable. working wonderfully. Then i just enter calories burned into my fitness pal.
  5. i have been eating by volume, i am eating 3 oz of protein and if im lucky 2 oz of veggies or fruits then i just quit eating. My dietician told me that 4-6 oz a meal will be enough food if you eat 4 meals a day. i dont eat till i feel full.

    i have never worn granny panties, why when Lane Bryant has awesome sexy panties, even for the big girls. Right now VS has 15 bucks off 100 so thats a pretty good deal.

    How Many Carbs?

    My dietician said no to go over 100 carbs a day. i stay around 60-70, when i was at 40 carbs i could barely make it through my hour workouts. I only eat complex carbs. Whole grains, fruits, veggies, nuts. Inless it is "cheatin Sunday" i dont eat white flour, anything with corn syrup, white sugar and try to stay away from artifical sweetners. Im trying really hard to do more natural and get rid of everything artifical in my diet.

    Buffet Discounts?

    i have been able to eat off the Kids menu with no problem, at Hibatchi my daughter and i shared an adults meal. But when we went to the chinese buffet, my husband and daughter got the buffet and they wouldnt give me a deal and i ordered off the menu and they watched us like a hawk. My husband got 3 donuts and the lady told him, that better not be for her lol.

    i got a baby bullet and a ninja for Christmas, i LOVE them and use them atleast 2-3 times a week.

    Post-Op Weight

    For the first month after surgery i weighed myself everyday! It is so exciting the scale being your friend for once! Now i weigh and measure myself once a week. it is exciting to see me lose 6 pounds in a week rather than watching it go down a half pound at a time! I think its to be expected that you weigh yourself every day for awhile!

    Yoga

    sit in the back so if you fart no one feels/smells it lol. But seriously i do pilates once a week, and i have never seen a funny look or felt displaced, just becuase women are thinner doesnt mean they arent worried there is always something to stress about. we think they are judging us, and actually they are thinking, "i hate my nose, "these pants make my butt look big", "i cant believe i ate all that ice cream" every woman has they dont like about themselves! Go and have a great time!

    High Protein Snacks

    ive been eating beef jerky lately, and i never like it before. Im also eating spoonfuls of peanut butter, and i have hard boiled eggs a few times a week, they are easy to cook a bunch at a time and put in my bag for work.
  14. yeah 2 cookies arent going to kill us. Isnt that why we did this? So we can have a dang cookie when we want to? There is no way i am going to be able to go through my life and not eat cookies lol. We just have a different relationship now. Instead of going steady we date casually :boxing_smiley:
  15. my favorites are thin mints, tagalongs and samoas. Im sure i will eventually have a cookie or too, because i am happy with one cookie. I bought one of those little containers of Honey Teddy grahams, it took me 4 days to even open them and i am probably only eating 4 cookies every few days. I just dont eat them anymore. I have worked hard to curb my cravings and not even sweet little girls peddling the most delicious cookies ever will make me binge :-)

    December sleevers!

    Hey December Divas! Hope everyone is doing great. I myself have left 28 pounds in the dust never to be seen again. More than 20 inches all over my body, my arms the most, 4 inches! my husband said they were getting so thin! I have been doing all the arm weights as the gym to combat the jiggy bits, i am most worried about my arms and thighs. I can tell the way i am losing weight i am still going to be quite hippy lol. thats ok. I hope i dont lose all my boobies though haha. Hope everyone is feeling great.

    Soda

    I was a Mt Dew Junkie, i drank mt dew from the time i was in 6th grade (1992) intill 2010. I gave it up cold turkey and lost 50 pounds. Then i found out i had hypothyroid disease, and the pounds kept creeping up so i said screw it and went to pepsi. I could drink 5 cans and 2 20oz a day. when i decided to have surgery i started weening myself off of them. about a month before my surgery i would have a mt dew here or there cause i thought i would never have them again, and i am sticking with that! They are way too much of a trigger!! I think Mt dew and i think cookies cakes candy bars chips. I hope i am strong enough to stay away forever.

    Help! Post-Op Period Gone Crazy!

    Nope i had the same craziness last week, thought i was dying. My doctor told me its kinda like starting your period over again for the first time. Mine lasted a week and then it was over. Atleast next month i will know what to expect.

    What Is Your New Addiction?

    Well atleast you are eating healthy foods. I think a veggie garden is a great idea! We grow a small one every year. Tomatos cucumbers (try watermelon every year but no luck) i think this year i might branch out and put some green peppers, squash try a few other things if nothing else it will help keep the grocery bill down.
  20. a lot of protein drinks are full of sugar! You need to get the low carb or carb control kind. EAS, Muscle Milk Light, Atkins are all prepackaged that have some sugar but not too bad. The Special K and Slim Fast kind have tons of sugar. They taste ok but not worth the sugar content. If you dont want a shake try the IsoPure plus Zero. It is like a koolaid type flavor. I enjoy it and it has 15 grams of protein for 8oz. you can get them at GNC and RiteAids with GNC.

    What Is Your New Addiction?

    I wouldnt mind my new addicition being sex,but the poor hubby works 50+ hours a week, i might just kill him :-( Why would that be bad if you were in a safe and healthy relationship? :boxing_smiley:

    2Wks To Start Pre Op Diet

    Yeah i went to the sugar free section and bought 2 of those everlasting suckers. they are huge and when i got a craving for sugar or just to have food in my mouth i would suck on that a little.
  25. also the diet for the first month after surgery is really tough!! And i would reccomend trying really hard to go by their diet, they might reschedule the surgery if you havent lost the weight they reccomended. Good Luck i know it is really hard! We all have been through it!
