Today I had to do burpees up the stairs. ????
-
I would rather do a burpee than a suicide!

I have lost 130 pounds, work out 5 days a week and was feeling pretty good about myself. Then I tried crossfit. Ermagaurd. I thought I was going to DIE!! That stuff is for the hard core that's for sure! But I got a free week so went a few times lol. Congrats to you for trying it. It's an asskicker.

I drink the EAS carb control. 3 carbs and 17 protein. The vanilla is thin. I could never stomach the thick ones :-/

I have never been able to eat cereal with milk since surgery 16 months ago. It hurts. I do miss a good bowl of Cheerios.

Water. Water. Water. Then some more water. And protein. Make sure you are staying low calorie, lower your carbs and throw in some cardio. I am working on my last 10 as well. It feels good to be that woman who I always wanted to punch in the face for saying, "if only I could lose this last 10 pounds" lol. Good luck. My doc and trainer told me 64 oz of water is just a starting point. Half your body weight (in oz ofcourse) is where you are aiming. Good luck.

Counting calories or counting carbs?
fluffylibra30 replied to Michelle Wolfe's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Those last ten pounds will come off if you are strict on your carbs. I am pretty close to maintenance so I don't count as close, but the weeks I do super low (20-30) I lose a pound or two. When you first cut the carbs your body drops the weight. Just have to be careful when you start adding them back in. I eat fruit and veggies but try really hard to stay away from the white devils (sugar and flour) once I have a bite I want more more more! -
Vets - how much can you eat?
fluffylibra30 replied to Wls4me's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 14 months out. On "date night" every other week at my favorite steakhouse (I don't measure anymore, I count bites usually) I have 3-4 bites of salad. I get a 6 oz steak and usually eat half. Then I steal a bite of the hubs baked potato if there is any room. Meat, veg, carb. get a bite of everything, get satisfied missing out. I still leave the drinking glass off the table. -
What kind of workout to get rid of underarm wings
fluffylibra30 replied to Bos123's topic in Fitness & Exercise
My arms were the biggest part of my big body And I was really worried. Now at 15 months out I still have a little jiggle but it doesn't want to make barf looking at them. I do arms 3x a week, 2 "light" (12 pd dumbbells) and 1 heavy. I have some pretty nice arms, and my back and shoulders look pretty bangin if I do say so myself. I do the skull crushers, kick backs, tricep push-ups, tricep dips. -
I do 60 or less.

Addicted to carbs....

You aren't supposed to take your calcium with your multi. It is a 2 hour window to let one or the other digest. Calcium is funny. You aren't getting the full benefits of the calcium if you take them together.

The more water you drink the less you hold on to. Your body is afraid if water starvation so if your not giving it much its going to hold on to it. Also, the 64 oz is just a generic starting place for all people. My trainer recommends 1/2 your body weight in water intake. in oz. ofcourse (caught myself this time BTB ???? )

I call my trainer Jillian Jr. She likes to make me carry 50 pound weights around so I don't "forget" my old self. Fun times

It's not just about crunches. Planks, squats, bicycles, lunges, mountain climbers, bear claws, anything that you need balance and core is going to help with the abs. You are going to kill yourself at that pace. There are a lot of great ab workouts that take 10 minutes at the end of your workout.

Normal to eat this much?
fluffylibra30 replied to nikilynne's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Once you start eat solids you will not be able to eat that much. Solid dense protein will fill you up. Eat slow, and measure out your foods. Just because you can eat the whole soup doesn't mean you should. Good luck. -
grazing (good) alternatives
fluffylibra30 replied to Fiddleman's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am a grazer. I have to be. I have never been successful at getting In all my calories, I eat a "snack" probably every 2 hours. Cheese, turkey, pepperoni, Greek yogurt all kinds of yummy things that don't make me feel bad about a planned meal schedule. -

Jeans are crazy! Sized so funny! I am 165 in a 12. But some 10s fit and some 14s are tight. It all depends on the Co. And cut. -
Not losing after VSG any advice?
fluffylibra30 replied to Rivers1612's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would try more calories. 7 months out your body is probably wanting more food. Especially if you are working out daily. Just remember meat, veg, starch. Good luck. -
husband is getting on my DAM nerves!
fluffylibra30 replied to Cookiemonster73's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I cleaned out all the "bad" food and filled it with healthy stuff we could all enjoy, just be glad they are eating the healthier stuff and trying to do it with you. Just don't let them eat the last one or make it known they must fill it back up. Nothing like thinking about a granola bar all day and getting an EMPTY BOX! Grrr throw the dang box away please!! -

I gave up TMZ. I am addicted to celebrity gossip.
