Question About Oatmeal
fluffylibra30 replied to Diane Cuva's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was told oats were a great complex carb. You don't want to cut the good carbs out. Stay away from simple carbs. Fruits oats whole wheats all good. And full of B1 which is important. -
I just got there last week so I know how you feel

I was told to wait 2 weeks when I started purees. Some chewies are hard on a new tummy.

Memory Issue
fluffylibra30 replied to phillygirl8133's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Some people says the loss of gherlin in our systems contributes to memory farts. I dunno there seems to be a lot of debate about it. I googled it once and my head got jumbled trying to understand it. -
How Much Should I Be Working Out?
fluffylibra30 replied to JamaicanGirl2011's topic in Fitness & Exercise
You need 60 minutes a day of good heart pumping cardio 4 days a week to LOSE weight. Then I would add a half hour weight regimen for toning and strength. -
My longest was 6 weeks. I raised my calories carbs and restructured my workout. I lost 7 pounds in a week!

Once I completely changed my workout routine I lost 7 pounds in a week! It's good to switch it up! Good luck on the weight loss!

Confession I had been working out 6 hours a week when I started this, and I couldn't finish some of the days. I did week 1 and 2 twice. It was awful!!

My trainer told me to make sure you are breathing from your stomach not your chest. Run a bit, till your huffin. Put one hand on chest, one on tummy. Which ever is rising is what your running from. You want to learn to breath from your tummy. keep your mouth open while running you get more air. I breath in take 2 steps then exhale. You are supposed to work your way up to 3 or 4 steps but I don't want to become a pro just not die while running. I am on Week 5 day 2 of C25K. I'm starting to enjoy it. Every time I finish a day doing it completely I treat myself to some new tunes so I have some good music to run to.

I confess that I frikin love my sleeve and everything I gave up and the 6 hours of cardio I kill myself doing are completely worth it when you step up on that scale and you are under the 200 mark for the first time in your adult life. I always wanted to punch my skinny friends when they told me "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" but now Im feeling them!! I confess I have become addicted to shopping, exercise and sex to take the place of food. But that's ok cause I like getting good deals so I don't spend much, I am a stay at home mom so I have plenty of time to exercise and my husband has never slept so good during the day for the extra livin he gets (he works midnights) -

It's not illegal unfortunately. I was a store manager at a local convience store chain, we have a no drink policy, where any customers can see. I took it up with the health dept. OSHA, the top of the corporate food chain anyone I could gripe to. Good luck I hope it can be worked out.

What Is The Average Weight Loss?
fluffylibra30 replied to polican's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Some people lose fast and them slow down. Some start slow and go steady. Usually by the 9-10 mark the numbers are a lot more even. Your body has been through a stressful journey. It will come off it has to! -
Tylenol. All that is recommended until your tummy heals.

How To Gain Weight Post-Op
fluffylibra30 replied to flipdmx's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How did you gain weight before? Honestly I would stay away from soda. I know the causes of soda is a big debate but I would do it for the lack of nutrition. I would eat full fat things. Cheese, milk, yogurt. Red meats. Raise your carbs. Maybe a little more bread. Add some cheesecake once a week. Stay away from things just loaded with sugar. Maybe some creatin? That stuff muscle builders drink to help them bulk up? Good luck and I can't wait to have this problem so I can do all the things I just stated above. -
What Is Your Goal Weight ?!
fluffylibra30 replied to jasmineb's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgery weight was 292 I'm at 201 now. I am 5'5 and my lean muscle mass is already on the high average end and body fat is much lower than the last time I was at 201 so I'm thinking I'm going to look damn good and solid at 150. I want to be an athletic frame so I think that will be a good number. Your BMI doesn't tell the whole story all of the time! -
Sorry I missed the bad knees part.

I do this workout 3 times a week. I have lost 2 inches on My legs in 3 weeks. 10 forward lunges 10 plié jumps 10 reverse lunges 10 squat jumps 10 step ups 10 leg lifts 10 single leg bridges 10 leg lifts 10 second wall sits. I do 3 reps of each but I worked my way up from 1.

I was stalled for 6 weeks I drank a gallon of water a day, raised my calories to 1000, carbs to 95 And completely redid my exercise routine. I lost 3 pounds this week. I think my body was in starvation mode, I spent too long at 700 calories. Good luck I know it sucks!

Thinking About Taking Up Running....
fluffylibra30 replied to Wolfgirl1978's topic in Fitness & Exercise
I am still 40 DD and I am on week 5 of C25K I use Marika Magic. I got it at Marshalls and its amazing. They have adjustable hook and eye straps, and adjustable on the side. I got mine at Marshall's for 15.00 bucks. I've tried everything and that seems to hold up the girls best. -
It's red yellow green I think. Red being the toughest. That's what my gym set is anyway.

Oh yeah, my trainer is a beast at Water aerobics. I feel like I've been sweating when I get out of the pool. We do tricep dips of off the side, and get out of the pool for planks during the "ab" portion. It's a great workout!
