To The Ladies;
fluffylibra30 replied to KarissaKhaos's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I won't do my arms, every arm procedure I have seen on people and online, the scars look worse than my arms. And my trainer had a TT and has a 7 inch scar across her tummy. I think I will be quite happy if I just got some new girls. Thinking about putting them on my credit card actually. -

I always loved my chest, I got boobs at 10 and by 12 the boys were calling me Stuffalupicus (work play off of sesame street) clever huh. I had 44 DD the time of surgery, 8 1/2 months later they are 38 saggy Cs :-(. I miss them so! I have a change jar I'm saving for a pair of plastics. I want the under the arm kind so I'm going to be saving for awhile. my hubs loves me anyway but I think he misses um. On the butt thing. Squats, lunges, stairmaster. Helped my booty soooo much. It's smaller than it used to be but it is firm and round with no cellulite. I couldn't believe when my trainer pointed out I had NONE!! Woot woot to the little things. Hit the stairs I promise it will help. -
Chicken Pot Pie
fluffylibra30 replied to slimmom24angels's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm not saying its a good idea to get one at this early time, but go to Bob Evans when tou do get one. Much better tasting and healthier than KFC. They are made fresh daily. I had a few bites of one for lunch today. Also remember chicken first :-D don't want to fill up on crust. -
How Much Walking Is Everybody Doing Post Op?
fluffylibra30 replied to tamjo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just walked until I was tired or it started hurting. It's a great idea to start walking as soon as your able, but also you don't want to overdue it due to injury. As long as your feeling good, I would just keep on going. Your body will let you know. -
I am disgusted by the people who have been sleeved and are rude/disrectful to or about their significant other. My DH isn't overweight so maybe it is harder to understand, but most of our spouses loved us at our heaviest. Mine told me he loved me no matter what I weighed. Told me I was beautiful no matter how down I was feeling about myself. Never EVER said a word about what I ate, how much, how often, nothing. Just loved me unconditionally, knowing how much I was already struggling, how much I was hating myself, he would never add to it with comments. Who would I be, what kind of person to be mean to them, or rude about what they are eating after my surgery. when a few months ago I was right there with them, or still would be without my sleeve. They deserve the same they gave us, unconditional love.

Food Addiction And Wls
fluffylibra30 replied to BigFatLoser's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was (am) a food addict. I had to wait 6 months die to insurance guidelines and during that time I got counciling. I addressed and dealt with all of my issues, learned my triggers, and am successful in my surgery losing 100 pounds so far. It is still hard after surgery. Physically you become disinterested in food but it's all there mentally. You can still eat most foods. In smaller quantities but you can eat more often. My advice is seek counciling and deal with the issues that make you over eat. It will be quite worth it! -

Hard Candy?
fluffylibra30 replied to slimmom24angels's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Jolly rancher is way to much sugar for a new sleeve. Also if you happen to swallow it the candy would be sharp on your staple line. How about some sugar free Popsicles? -

But the weight loss is just one part of being healthy. You aren't as healthy as you can be if you aren't exercising. Your heart, limbs, brain all get healthier with exercise. It's not just about losing the weight. I would recommend atleast walking.

Success! 4 Months Post Op :)
fluffylibra30 replied to maggie4778's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Please don't let this forum scare you from having surgery! Sometimes we need to whine, cry, vent but I promise 98% of us wouldn't trade it for the world. Do some medical research, don't just come to an opinion forum and get scared off! All the stress is completely worth it at the end of the day. For myself i decided i would rather be scared and do it than heavy and unhealthy and unhappy about my apparence and depressed. It's your decision but please don't base it on just some posts on a forum! -
Insanity is super tough. If you want a workout like it but not so extreme try Power 90. It is the recommend first step for the "Beachbody" workouts.

Vsg & Hypo Thyroid
fluffylibra30 replied to ChristyLove's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was diagnosed with hypo hashimotos 2 years ago. My synthroid was up to 175. Since surgery it has dropped to 100. My doc told me the thinner you are it is possible you would need less meds, but it won't cure it, your always going to need some. Since my diet has improved, I stay active and don't get as tired. I still have days, mostly around PMS. It is a pain at first to get the meds right. My doc recommended if you have good insurance or can afford the synthroid, you can tell the difference between it and the generic Levothyroroxine. -
Loosing Hair Very Fast 5 Months Post Op
fluffylibra30 replied to anniew's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Nothing is proven to 100% work but time. Mine came out in very large handfuls from month 2 through month 6. Then it slowed Down. At 8 months out it has stopped. It is see through but I can see regrowth. (it's all white but that's another story) good luck and I promise it won't last forever. -

Almost 2 Weeks Out Eating Normal Food
fluffylibra30 replied to KinnymomX3's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My nut told me 120 carbs. I know it's lower than 150 but I always thought that was too high. I stay at 70 usually.
