I'm someone with a lenthy hx of pituitary/neuroendocrine/autoimmune disease and hypothalamac dysfunction; each of which easily contributes to weight struggle - one of my specialists has been bugging me for awhile to consider the lap band and at first I didn't take him seriously (I've always eaten a healthy diet and thought if I just continued to eat healthfully at some point my body would straighten out - yea....I know what you're thinking....he was thinking that too....) anyway - three years later, I'm convinced - and I'd like to spare my heart valves because several of my conditions are genetic and not curable and I'd like to not end up like my Mother who died because she couldn't do anything about her weight (you cannot 'fix' a broken hypothalamus)
I swim daily, don't drink alcohol and my one 'thing' is I'd really like to look 'hot' in a bathing suit again even though I'm in my 40's
looking forward to hearing others input, etc. thank you.
