Hi everyone, me again, Hello Nurse. Just another way to help all those such as myself who need to count their pennies! FSA! It's the way to go I get reimbursed for everything I pay for. All medicines, all Doctor co pays, tests, lab work, Protein powders, if it's for treatment for Obesity, it qualifies. As long as Doctor writes a prescription for it. Even my $500 co pay for the surgery!! If you are able to sign up thru your employer, I suggest it. The maximum I can save is $2,500/ year. They take put a certain amount from each pay check( pre tax dollars) then put it an FSA account. I then fax in a claim with proof, and my money is reimbursed back to me via direct deposit. But you can also choose to get a check mailed to you!! I was able to pay for braces for myself and my youngest daughter this way! It's one of the ways Im able to get this surgery without going broke! Hi Sleevers! I was wondering if anyone has used Aflac. If so, how long did your claim take and if you don't mind sharing, how much!! I have had my Hospital Indemnity Policy since 2003, time to get the duck to help me out, Ha I also habe the Short Term Disability since 2008. Well, maybe you should call your surgeon's office and ask them if you should ask your PCP to order the tests, or should you wait until you see the surgeon! Sent from my iPhone using VST

I'm watching the infomercial for the Ninja 1100,it looks pretty good. Just wondering if any one has feedback on it. It's kinda expensive, but I want one. Hi there!! I just had my Psych Eval done on Friday. It was so great, I was nervous too! I thought maybe I wouldn't get clearance, but the Doctor was so friendly, I was totally honest with him. Hi there! Congrats to you!! I have my Surgeon Consult this thursday(15th) I can't wait!! I think it's just a preference to have blender. I have been trying out different Protein powders and trying to make them really appealing, if you know what I mean I have one of those bullet blender things, bought it on Amazon for around $25, it's not the Magic Bullet, but it's the same exact thing, for far less money. I just finished up my 6 month diet, will have my Psych Eval on the 9th, Meet with my surgeon, Dr Mueller( Sharp) on the 15 th and then wait for approval from Cigna. Hi everyone! I tried Syntrax nectar Fuzzy Navel for the first time today. I had to "doctor it up" I made it with Water, a little crushed ice, just a teaspoon of honey, then used my little bullet-style blender. It whipped up so nice, it tasted just like an Orange Julius. It didn't taste like peach, which I thought it would!??!I see that the Syntrax Nectar Cappucino is tasty, I love coffee, so I think I will try to get that one!! Sent from my iPhone using VST

I have Cigna also. I just finished my 6 month supervised diet with the NUT( through my surgeon's office) had to get a referral from my PCP to finally SEE my surgeon on the 15th. This is the slowest process ever! If Cigna denies me, I will be crushed. But I have a BMI of just barely 40, sleep apnea and asthma. So I hope they will approve me. I can lose weight, but sadly it's the keeping it off for more than a year is where I fail. I just know that the sleeve will help me with this!! Good luck to all my fellow Cigna Sleevers!! Hi everyone!! I'm 44, single Mom and proud Grandma. I have two beautiful girls( my oldest in pic with me) is 25, and has blessed me with two handsome boys 6&2. My youngest girl is 16 and is one of the best kids ever!! They both support my choice of WLS. They also both tease me and tell me I need to start dating again. I told them, it's my year, I'm gonna get real cute again and find Prince Charming As my name says, I am a Nurse, love helping others, now I am helping my self, be healthy and be here longer for my kids!! I am so happy to have found this site, it makes me feel so good. I'm in good company!!

I chose the Sleeve because this was the best option. When I do something, I research the heck out of it first!! I was considering the LB first, until I read about the erosion and other yucky side effects. For me, the thought of having something foreign in my body and having to do fills, it was just too much :-( Thank goodness for the GS!!! Also the ByPass scared me, no coffee! Not for me!!! But I have a friend who did the ByPass, and it worked for her. I'm starting out on the smaller side (220lbs) at 5'4" Everyone I tell thinks I've gone outer limits for wanting the Sleeve, this includes my Doctor of 12 years. I had to part ways with him, I have a new Doctor who agrees with my choice. I just love VST, where else can you be yourself and people still love and support you 100%

Oh no, I have been thinking about you all week! I am glad to hear Dr Mueller is taking precautions with you! I finally finished my 6 month diet. Now I play the waiting game to get the referral and tests, hopefully I will get my surgery in April! I hope your feeling better soon, and get to go home!

I did also, but I tried one more time yesterday, it said my membership is pending approval.

I also tell everyone about my up coming WLS. I'm so excited. As always, Im a trend setter at my employer, so I think all the other chubbies are envious, that they didn't think of it or get it done first!!! Ha

That is still so close, do you mind if I ask how long it took to get approved, and then a date set? Well also assuming you are going through insurance? I have Cigna and I guess it can be a fairly quick process! I sure hope so.

Oops, way to excited! I meant last year January 2011, Ha!! 2012 came around so fast! This is going to be an awesome year :-)
