Woohoo San Diego!! I'm having mine at Sharp Memorial with Dr Mueller, he is so awesome! I have a 5 hour class on Wednesday the 11th. That's when I start my diet. Do you have to do a 2 week diet also? Sent from my iPhone using VST

It will be 3 Protein shakes a day, then one lean protein with veggies meal. I'm probably going to have that meal at lunch, just so I can get thru my work day without biting someone's leg!!  But seroiusly, it makes sense also to eat heavier earlier in my day, so I can burn off more calories .is yours similar? I ordered unflavored Protein powder, plus this stuff called Pro Go Elixir in white grape, you had it to your Water, kinda like that Mio stuff at the grocery store, but this has protein, it's Bariatric Advantage. It seems like I started this journey so long ago. It has taken 9 months from Seminar to approval. I am so happy, but still impatitent, can't wait for April 24th!! I start my pre op diet on the 11th. I stocked up on my Protein and vitamins!! Now to get my hospital bag ready and do my spring cleaning at my house!! Sent from my iPhone using VST

@betterthanbefore, Thank You!!!! I thought maybe I was alone in my love affair with food. Food has always been there for me, but now it's feels like it's not my friend in a way, it's an frenemy. I keep thinking... What if I try to eat my all time favorite and it makes me terribly ill. How will that make me feel. But then I tell myself, maybe that's a good thing. Then I read stories on here about "head hunger" I hope I don't get that. I'm going to try to really get gung ho about exercise and hope I go way too overboard with that, like I did with my food! Oh yeah, I love love Peppermint Tea! I drink it for all my aliments, like sore throat, stomach ache, migraines. I sure hope it helps me out after my Sleeve. Yes, I have Cigna from my employer, and I had to choose an H. M.O. I have had Sharp Rees Stealy for like 12 years, but they gave me lots of grief about WLS, so I parted ways with SRS and joined Sharp Community Medical Group. I love my new PCP, he is the best. Sent from my iPhone using VST

Yep! Of course the whole Quest for WLS took 9 long months( 6 month supervised diet) plus I had to do the Psych Eval and strangely all my pre op tests done before my surgeon's office would even submit my info to Sharp. I met with my Surgeon only after I finished my diet and Sharp approved a visit with him!He told me I didn't have to deal with Cigna at all, just Sharp. It was so fast!! Sent from my iPhone using VST

Once my coordinator sent my items in this past Monday, I received my approval yesterday!! So it took 4 days. I have Cigna, but it was my (H) (M) (O) Sharp Community Medical Group that reviewed and approved my surgery! Can't wait for April 24!! Sent from my iPhone using VST

Congrats! You took the thoughts right out of my head. After waiting soooo long my time has come for surgery in April. I want this surgery so bad, but I'm worried about some of the side effects. I think we can just do the best to forge ahead, as for the hair thing, that really freaks me out, so I have ordered Silicia and Biotin supplements to take. I don't have enough hair to part ways with!!! We will be taking Prilosec and gas pills for nausea and gas pain, so I think we will be ok! The thought of possibly being to thin really intrigues me, Ha! I'm gonna take my chances with that one I wish you Good Luck, and please keep us posted! I'm either the 16th or 23 rd of April. Hi there! I saw my surgeon for the first time today. While it is good news, hevtells me since I have an ***, I won't have to deal with Cigna at all. Sharp Community Medical Group will make the approval, he said they wouldn't have even approved the referral to him if they weren't serious! But, now I have to have all the clearance tests done before they submit. So it's wait some more. Sent from my iPhone using VST
