I admit that I'm pretty "nuts" for the 100 calorie pack dry roasted almonds They are soooo good and the whole pack is just enough of a portion for me. I really enjoy the crunch part of it too Sent from my iPhone using VST

I hear you! I'm 6 weeks post op and still eat like a little bird. People don't believe me until they see me eat, then comes either the burp or little gurgles from the throat. It's really kinda gross. I have never been a burpy girl, so this is new to me!! Im ok with the birdy portions, as long as it's food and not mushy crap and broth. If I never have broth again, that suits me fine!! Non Supportive Primary Care Doctor
hellonurse replied to carlab51's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too had a PCP who has for years told me he is not a fan of WLS( he's skinny) of course he doesn't need to be a fan)LOL I however have been! He has been my PCP for 12 years, after hearing "but your healthy" for do many years, I told him, really Doc, how is it possible to tell me Im healthy, yet you have a diagnosis of Morbidly Obese on my chart?!? Doesn't make any sense! I had to part ways with him last September. My new PCP( love him) knew what I was all about when I made my first appointment!! It was such a smooth process with him and his great staff. I'm gonna stick with him for a long time! I am now 5 weeks post op and down nearly 40 pounds. My PCP will be so proud of me Sent from my iPhone using VST -
I have Cigna also. I had to do the 6 month diet, but it was so worth it! I did everything they asked for and was approved very quickly! I'm now 5 almost 6 weeks post op, and have lost 39 pounds and 4 pant sizes!! Good Luck to you! Sent from my iPhone using VST

Females Who Are Actively Losing - What Is Your Calorie & Protein Intake?
hellonurse replied to Cherrybomb's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am one month post op,Ive lost 18 pounds since my surgery on April 24th. That's all after being sleeved. I take in 500-550 calories a day, I keep it extremely low carb, low fat, try for my minimum of 60g of Protein. I drink about 48-64 oz of Water a day and bust a** doing high impact aerobics 4 times a week and walking the other 3 days week. So I have lost a total of 38 pounds since my pre op diet. It doesn't hurt that Im a very active nurse ( much more active now, it's so much easier) I still have about 49 more pounds to reach my goal of 145. Sent from my iPhone using VST -
Well I did surpass my goal by one pound! Didn't make the mini add on goal of three more by today, but it's all good. I'm losing inches as we speak Im in for the July 4th Challenge, I'm gonna blow doors on those pounds, Ha,LOL Let's do this Sleevers!!! Sent from my iPhone using VST

Judgement About Wls
hellonurse replied to Almostthere34's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It makes me laugh to myself when anyone, espec. obese people think they know what's up with weight loss and what's right. If they truly did, they would be in the same boat! We Sleevers have just taken it to a new level. We all Im sure have dieted and lost weight, it's the keeping it off part that is important. I have explained this to many people that know about my WLS. I am upfront and totally open with the fact I had it. I didn't want rumors again like before when I lost over 60 pounds a few years back. OMG she's on drugs and all that I applaud all of us on here for getting control over obesity, we are all winners( but great losers too) LOL Sent from my iPhone using VST -

Hi All! Sleeved: April 24,2012 Starting weight: 232 After pre op diet: 213 Current weight: 195 Just had my 1 month post op appt on May 24th. My NUT and my Doctor were VERY happy with me I have gone from a 16 to 12. My scrubs from XL to Med. I hit a mean stall at week 2, but you know .... That is when I lost most of my inches!! My Doctor just chuckled when I told him that, he said, yes that will happen. My NUT said this next month will be when I really start dropping major pounds. I was like, OMG, really??!! It's all about protein and exercise Lets go Sleevers, let's Go!! ( thought a cheer might help) LOL Sent from my iPhone using VST
