OMG that's so cool! I went back to work after 3 weeks, man was I burnt!! It's much better now at just over 2 months post op, sometimes all I have time for is my RTD shake and a bag of 100 calorie dry roasted almonds! Good luck to you!! Sent from my iPhone using VST

Your welcome! I even tried to " blenderize" my powder Protein shakes(stuck with tubs of powder) but to no avail, Sleeve knew it was powder!! LOL. It is hard to predict pre sleeve and post sleeve what you will tolerate! I hear that the Premier RTD shakes from costco are pretty good also. They have 30g of protein!! Are you pre op? EAS are my favorite!! Pre Sleeve I could drink nectar powder shakes and it was pretty good. But post sleeve I could not handle the powder type shakes. They are kinda bulky and gritty. I am able to use the ready to drink EAS with zero problems!! I adore the rich dark chocolate one. So much in fact.... I just got a big huge box shipped from Walmart.com of 10 cases of the 4-packs!! They have 17g of Protein,3 g of fat and only 6 carbs!! I drink one every morning at work and it keeps me good for about 4 hours!! Sent from my iPhone using VST

AK, I'm not 100%but I think no celery because the thin little strings can get caught in the staple line? But maybe someone else can either confirm or correct that!! Sent from my iPhone using VST

Oooh, my favorite crunchy snack is dry roasted almonds( emerald brand) they are 100 calorie packs, the calories are just right and the portion is just right! I keep them in my purse, and eat them at work! I love them I also eat BBQ pork rinds too. No Carbs!! I can only eat maybe two of those!! But Im also a bit over 2 months post op! I didn't get to start eating this fun stuff until about 3 weeks ago. Sent from my iPhone using VST

Will I Ever Enjoy Eating Again?
hellonurse replied to ShouldBlittler's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 2 months post op. There are some days I feel "normal"order something( smart chioice of course) eat a few bites and realize, Leave it to Sleever is working great!! I do enjoy my small little portion! Then there are days( like this whole week so far) I don't feel like eating food at all. I have just been sticking to my trusty EAS shakes! But yes, you will enjoy food again, but in small doses!! Sent from my iPhone using VST -
I'm using Kathy Smith's Beach Body DVD's I have 5 in the series. They are kinda 2005, maybe even 2006... But they worked for me back then, so they are working pretty good again! Major inches falling off and decent muscle tone, I'm knocking on the door of 50 pounds gone, in 2 months. Not shabby! Only a few more pounds to hit just "overweight", Ha I'll take it! But I did take the 3 weeks off, I am a very busy nurse, I wanted to make sure I wasn't fainting from hunger at work. I have my ready to drink EAS Protein shakes with me, I actually have developed an obsession for them( rich dark chocolate) LOL I work out 3 times a week cardio. Lost tons of inches, tons This is the best thing I ever did for myself!!! I'm excited for you too!! Sent from my iPhone using VST -

Hi Sleevers, I have to vent Im just so unhappy with my so called friends. One in particular, she is a very obese woman, She is treating me really bad, even went so far to say in front of one of my employees" oh she is a real slow loser" not like my daughter who had bypass last year. Really? I don't call losing 50 pounds in 2 1/2 months slow, GEES. I also had the sleeve, not the bypass! Her daughter had a larger margin of weight to lose than I do! It just makes me sad for these people who can't be happy for me, or act so darn phony around me Thank you Sleevers for letting me vent, I knew some of you could probably relate!!! Low Bmi'ers -- Please Share Your Story
hellonurse replied to sssehol's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My BMI has always been around 35. At least for the past 5 years. Last year it took a hike to exactly 40. That's when I decided I needed a more permanent tool to help keep the weight off. I can lose weight, but I have trouble keeping off. I was sleeved exactly 2 months ago, I have lost 50 pounds and have 30-40 to go. I say that because I have a very dense bone structure and don't want to get to bony looking. I did the sleeve because I want to keep the weight off and it is helping me make a life style change. I love exercise and eating healthy, this has given me the incentive to keep it up! Good luck to you! Sent from my iPhone using VST -

Hi Dawn! Nice to meet you, Im Jessica. I just celebrated my 2 month post op today!! Was sleeved April 24th. I have lost 46 pounds. That includes 14 pre op diet pounds lost. Shucks, I hit another stall... Since last weekend no weight loss, but inches were lost! I'm now wearing a size 10 But this morning I weighed in and I finally dropped a pound, woohoo. I still have 9 pounds to go to hit my goal. I hope I can get there. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.... Sent from my iPhone using VST

My 17 year old daughter and I had a blast yesterday!! We went to Goodwill and spent almost $100. It felt so good to pick something out and buy it, bring it home and it looked fabulous on Just fitting was how I was getting by before!! I'm now in a size 10 in just 2 months post op. I was in a really tight 16 in April. I was sleeved on April 24, lost 45 pounds so far! Personal best will be another 35-40 pounds. That will put be in a normal BMI situation. It sucks that they do not figure for dense heavy bones when doing that "normal BMI" chart!! Some of us look small, but still weigh about 20 pounds more than folks guess we are!! Are Any Of You Post Ops Colder? Especially In This Weather From Hell?!
hellonurse replied to Kiki Von Moonshine's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yes, yes. That is me now. Before I was always sweaty and hot. Now Im always cold. Well except when I'm working out!! This might be TMI, but I have also noticed I am not as strong in my arm pit sweating. I use to have to reapply deo to stay dry, but now just once and it's all good Sent from my iPhone using VST -
March And April Sleevers How Are You Doing? What Are You Really Eating? (Confessions)
hellonurse replied to Anewlifeforme23's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved 4/24. I have lost 45 pounds. Been working on my Protein intake and Water too. Working out atleast 3 times a week, but they run my butt at work! It's so much easier now I need to peel off another 35-40 pounds to hit my goal. I have a really dense bone structure, so I weigh more than some, but look smaller than most. I am 5'4" and currently weigh around 185, but wear a size 10 very nicely. Sent from my iPhone using VST -
Two Months Out And Looking For Easy High Protein Snacks
hellonurse replied to shrinkinmama's topic in Food and Nutrition
@ Jazzmin My Doctor said it is much to hard to digest. Plus, other sources offer more protein! Like tilapia and salmon. I don't really miss it that much! Well, I do miss carne asada But its ok, there is plenty of other options out there! Sent from my iPhone using VST -
How Often Do You Weigh Yourself?
hellonurse replied to missmachine's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I weigh in twice a day. Once first thing in the morning and then second before bed. I too refused to get on a scale for awhile, when I did, last July...... It wasn't pretty I had gained 30 pounds from my usual 203, It said 232,I was horrified That is more than when I was having both of my children!!! Weighing in keeps me on track, it also motivates me. If I don't lose weight, I know Im losing inches!! Sent from my iPhone using VST -
Hi Sleevers!! I am down to 187. Still need to knock off 10 more pounds Only have two weeks left!! I think my goal may have been too lofty Had a few stalls here and there. But overall I have lost inches for sure! My now medium scrubs are getting to look like MC Hammer pants Sent from my iPhone using VST

@*susan* your right! If I offended, I am very sorry. It's true, we are all entiled to our opinions. If the poster feels it's stupid, then that's fine. We are all just trying to improve and lose weight, but with that comes modification of our old habits. People ask me all the time if the weight"just falls off". No it really doesn't just fall off, I have to make better choices in food and exercise. Again Im sorry if I used a term that wasn't kind, I really love VST and all the good folks here!! Let's all help one another Sent from my iPhone using VST
