Hi Anyone use Dr.Francis Kelly from Fountain Valley Surgical Facility in Fountain Valley CA? This is my surgeon and my surgery is scheduled on 11/9/11. Any feedback would be helpful

How's that even possible? Did you lose 60 lbs in 2 weeks or something?

I completed options on Aug 16th Yes it was really FAST!!! They called me two days after watching the video and then I had to attend a 'sleeve talk' with one of their surgeons. Fountain valley moves really fast. you should be hearing from the scheduling coordinator possibly Angela pretty soon. No Im not attending any support groups.. I may start after the surgery. But my girlfriend just had it and we're each others support group. The forum is our every day ritual lol.. And I keep in contact with some of my classmates. What type of staples did you have? And where were they located? My girlfriend just had the surgery and the only staples she has are inside holding the stomach but the doctor isn't removing them. Other then that her sutures were closed using glue and bandages.

Sorry but I disagree! there's a shapwear that I wear almost everyday it's called 'Body Magic' this is what the stars wear and it pulls your waist INNNN and slims your thighs a little and also lifts the breast! it's $125-$160 bucks but i found mine on ebay brand new for $75. I wear a size 18 jeans( i can not wait until my surgery lol) but fit into my 16's when wearing this thing. Please google or look it up on youtube ladies! I read some where that it's lack of Protein which causes your hair to shed. It isnt permenant but because your body is lacking proper nutrients it affects the hormones. Similar to stress- when you stress you can either lose your hair gain or lose weight etc. Your body is going through a drastic changes and needs to readapt at this point. Hope this makes sense ladies/gents

I'm so happy I found this thread! You're worried about losing them and so am I! My thing is I had a breast reduction two years ago- I went from a 42DDD to a 40C and gained about 40lbs in the last 2 years so now Im a 42D. Im afraid that after my sleeve I wont have ANY! and I dont want to consider implaints I guess I will just have to wait and see what happens.... Good Luck with your journey

My girlfriend whom has a desk job went back to work after 6 days. My surgery is scheduled for November 1 and i've requested two weeks off but I'm looking forward to going back much sooner!!! I attended a 'sleeve talk' with the surgeon yesterday and they say it just depends on the person if whether any complications are involved or how the healing stages goes. Good Luck with everything!

I got my date and I'm beyond excited! There are other mandatory appointments that I have to go to but it's official I will be sleeved november 1st... I'd say that was pretty fast considering I'm being sent to an outside facility that isn't wiithin my medical group. I will keep everyone updated thanks for all of the support and answers to my questions!

We'll I just received a call yesterday for my medical clearance appointment which is Tuesday 8/30. Seems like they're are moving fast with the process. I've only been out of options a week and a half! Just thought I'd update everyone as to the status and how quickly the process is moving along. Thank you all for all of your feedback and kind wishes

Thank you for the information. I could imagine how dreadful it was going to SD for the procedure considering the time it took to get home and you may have needed to put over and walk to avoid blot clots. They've now lowered the time of options to 3 months.Im most grateful for that. I can't wait to actual get my surgery date and post updates. Thanks Again

Thank you so much! and I really enjoyed the options classes, It is well worth it and will pay off in the end im sure. The three surgical center that they are offering my class is fountain vally west LA and a big possibility of san diego. Hopefully I get to go with fountain valley since it closer to my home and seems to be a little more organized than west LA.

No Im still waiting for the referral to the surgical center. I just finished options last week so it could be approximately a few more weeks before i receive the referral. yes I was told that the total length including options would be approximately 7-8 months... So I guess I have 3 down and possibly 4 to go.
