I was diagnosed with diabetes over a year ago. I decided to have the lap band after years and years of trying to lose weight. I was banded on Aug. 5th and as of today, I have lost 13 pounds. I teach high school English, I have four kids ages 21, 18 and 14 year old twins. I'm excited about this weight loss journey and my new life of a healthy me.
