I just chew really well and sip and I do mean SIP plain water to help it down. I haven't had any problems as long as its very small sips just to aid in the digestion.

Wtf Surgery Four Weeks Ago And Lost Absolutley Nothing Since Discharge
Shalon replied to louise aussie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know people say this and I didn't believe it, but take your measurements regularly! I found when I was stalling was when I was actually getting smaller and when I was losing my size wasn't changing, I have been on a stall since December, with only ONE pound lost, but I have gone from a size 12 to a size 8, so I know I'm still shrinking even though I'm stuck at 168. I was 216 on my surgery date in September and have been 168 since december. We REALLY need to focus on size instead of scale numbers. -
If I'm craving a snack late at night I just grab two pieces of lunch meat. It satisfies the craving without too much of anything numbers wise. I think it takes like six slices for 8grams? So it might at one gram to your count

I've been stalled since December and was only sleeved in September. I stopped obsessing about it and realize that I can't force my body to do what it doesn't want to do, all i can do is follow the rules

How Do You Priorities?
Shalon replied to AshleyIrene's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am seven months post op and couldnt fit in exercise until month five. It took time for me to adjust to everything physically, emotionally, nutritionally, etc. Give yourself time, you have the rest of your life! -
Along with buying new clothes and shoes, I "suffered" through another intolerable NSV yesterday. I took my wedding rings in to be resized since they were almost falling off daily. Resizing from a 7.5 to a 5.5 is gonna cost me $100.00. Waaaaah! This losing weight thing sure sucks! Lol!

Sunday was my five month surgiversary. I have not lost any weight since before Christmas. Luckily I haven't gained any either. I have lost 45 pounds since my surgery and I think I'm done losing weight. I'm okay with being a size ten, but the only thing is, I think I will be classified as a surgery failure, which kind of sucks. I had hoped to get to 150, but after two months of no weight loss, I think that's it for me. When did the long-timers out there finally plateau?

Tagine- The Most Perfect Meal For Gastric Sleevers!
Shalon replied to chef neil's topic in Soft (stage 3)
I actually use mine on the stove top. I put it on top of a cast iron griddle and keep the heat on medium low. Then I have been cooking the meat for one hour after browning. Everything has been just fine. -

This sounds like a strange concoction, and I admit I was just throwing anything in that I could find in the moment, but it was soooooooooooooo divine! Beef Stew meat Green bell pepper Red bell pepper several cloves of fresh garlic Half a can of green pitted olives Mushrooms Shallots 3/4 cup of chicken broth couple of dashes of lemon juice couple of dashes of teriyaki sauce Montreal steak seasoning Couple of shakes of parsley Weird mixture I know.... we were low on groceries and I was just kinda using what I could find. It was BY FAR the best meal I have made in the tagine to date. -
How far out from surgery are you?

Is It The Infamous 3 Week Stall Or Is It 3 Weeks Of Stalling?
Shalon replied to happy1957's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My weight loss has been VERY slow and in a pattern. I lose for about a week and then I stall for three. This has been ongoing since surgery. I have "only" lost 44 pounds since surgery day on September 12th and I have only lost two pounds since Christmas, which was five weeks ago. Be patient, it will happen and your body is just freaking out right now. -

Interesting? Hmmmm..... I hope it doesn't blow up or something? All of the web videos I watched were all stove top, and one said as long as you use a heat diffuser it is fine. -

Neil: Have you tried it stove top? I put mine on top of a cast iron skillet and keep the heat on medium and meals are taking about one hour that way. -
Facial Hair & Hair Loss Question
Shalon replied to MyVSG2012's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes Susan, Walgreens carries it. I just wanted you to see the picture of the "right" one because the others don't work as well for me. I have also found it occasionally at Target -
Facial Hair & Hair Loss Question
Shalon replied to MyVSG2012's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i have shaved every day since I was 17, so exactly 20 years. I use a mens razor and I use a separate one for my legs, underarms, etc. The face one is only for my face. The best product I have found is the bikini zone cream, NOT the gel. The cream is supposed to be use after shaving to get rid of the skin irritation/bumps, but I find it works better if you use it as your shaving cream. It contains lidocaine, so it's actually medicated which helps with the irritation with shaving. It's expensive for a small amount but a tiny dot goes a long way. This is the one you want. http://www.riteaidonlinestore.com/Bikini-Zone-Medicated-Creme-oz/dp/B0009R14YK?traffic_src=froogle&utm_medium=organic&utm_source=froogle
