Hi, I'm just starting out on my FINAL weight loss venture. I have lost and gained 100 lbs three times in the last 21 years. My body's age and willingness to do it one more time is not in my favor. I know I can lose the weight, but it's the long term health and fitness that I need to concentrate on. I have been recently diagnosed with diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol and joint pain due to obesity. I have been researching the best long term options and lap band is the one I have chosen. I live with my 21 year old son, my 87 year old (alzheimer) mom and my husband. I am a nurturer by nature and seem to alway put aside nurturing myself. Now's my time as 50 nears. I want a healthy and happy lifestyle for my "golden" years.
