Hi there- i am six weeks poat op frm aleeve and had my gb removed this mornIng. I had been having gallstone attacks for a few years and didn't know what it was. Had a nasty attack last Friday and left work in an ambulence and there you have it. I thought they were supposed to check your gall ladder and remove it if you were having issues( at the same time as wls)?? Anyone have thoughts on this?

This is kind of creepy but too funny to keep to myself.. I am six weeks out and down forty pounds from starting weight. I have noticed that i am getting a lot of random male attention. Got hit on, doors held open, the elevator kept waiting, rushed ahead in lines and even got a rose from my smoothie guy. I knew stuff like this could start happening. The thing that struck me the most though was when a arandom homeless guy said, " hey sexy". It hit me that i hadnt been hit on in many many years - not even by the homeless!! Is it a nsv?? Well, it has nothing to do with the homeless guy but i gotta say, it was indeed an nsv!!!

Hating The Greek Yogurt Any Other Suggestions? Your Favorites?
Countess replied to Liliana Arleen's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Chobani makes a 0% and 2% yogurt. The 2% is so much better! I get the strawberry banana. I also do the honey flavored yoplait. I have been drinking herbal life protein and meal replacement and it ts really good - better than whey. Good luck! -

Countess replied to jewelwithin's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am allowed skim milk as a clear fluid so I could try it right away. I can do creamed soups on day ten and had my first decaf latte today. -

Hungry After Surgery ... Anyone Else?
Countess replied to jewelwithin's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok i am feeling the same thing! I am 5 days out. I feel yucky today and nauseaus and i want to eat everthing but i do think it is my head. My doc showed me something cool after the surgery -i had him take pics . He said that the part of my stomach which regulates hunger and satiety physically doesnt work. It has scar tissue that stopped the blood supply. I have no idea why i would have scar tissue (no injury). He said that half of his patients have this issue. When i think back in my life i have only known two modes: so starving that i am nauseaus and my tummy grumbles and so full that i can barely breath. I think it has been related to my stomach. So , knowing all of that, i cant trust my body to tell me when i am hungry or not so i am following i structions to a "t and trusting the experience of my surgeon. It is helping to think of it that way. I dont think its worth the risk of a rupture to screw with the meal plans so hang in there!! Also i took real soup (beef stew) and heated it up and then strained it and it was a hundred times better than broth. Just a thought! -

Drinking With A Timer
Countess replied to Countess's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks everyone! My doc recomends the timer so i dont go too slow or too fast. I went with dr. Baker at unity. I dont mind the timer i just struggle because i want to sleep and i am not getting in 42 oz (recommended first day home) and i cant stay awake long enough to do it. i want to drink faster but i am also afraid it will hurt if i do. Any experience with this -

I am waiting for the surgeon in the pre-op area of the hospital. I kissed my kids goodbye this morning and had a sudden flashback of doing that and it made me cry. Nothing is going to happen but keep me in your prayers!! -
Second Thoughts About Gastric Sleeve Surgery
Countess posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am starting to freak a bit. Surgery scheduled for the 28th and I am wondering if I should have done RNY. I am afraid I won't lose enough or I will gain it back...I have always eaten sweets and RNY might deter that...any words of wisdom? -
