Bottom LINE ...NO Water pills should be taken, no matter the Language! DRINK the water, the water weight will come off............ eat your Protein, take you Vitamins, and WORK OUT, DO what the DR told you.....and you will do OK~ Remember to all others... SOME people and I know a few did this surgery for a QUICK FIX, BUT will NOT follow the rules, and THEY will be the ones to SUFFER the (consequences)?

Jen, you will NOT lose EVERY week, at first YES, but after a while the scale will bounce up and down.... do NOT get discouraged!!! PLEASE TRY to weigh only one time a month..... you will have times you will NOT LOSE lbs! BUT you will lose inches...... Take your measurements... DO NOT WEIGH WEEKLY.... focus on your protein, water, and vitamins... work out when you can........... at the END you will reach your goal...stay focused....... stay away from sugar.... "snacks" the OLD FOODs... you will reach GOAL, YOU WILL FEEL HAPPY, SATISFIED.... but you MUST follow the rules.ROCK THAT SLEEVE~

you need to drink the H2O, I understand it is very hard..but it is your FRIEND.... Drink that water.... Ü

Knocking this back to the TOP for those that are WORRIED about the # on the BEAST MACHINE.... reminder, you are going to lose weight, just because you cannot eat the CALORIES you ate before FOCUS on your Water, Protein, Vitamins and working out.... you may not lose a pound, BUT those clothes are going to fit you differantly BECAUSE you are losing INCHES..... I weighed the same for a MONTH....... did not lose ONE POUND, but after trying on a shirt that was TOO TIGHT, it is ALMOST TOO LOOSE!!. Please do not put so much focus on the # Enjoy your journey.... take care of your body... focus on the correct things.......... this is a NEW LIFESTYLE..... ROCK that sleeve! Ü

i say stay off the scale. weigh only once per month..........TOO MANY things influence tha "SCALE NUMBER".......... omg, I only lost a pound..........forget last time you weighed you gained 7 LBS............ you have had a lifesaving surgery... YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE WEIGHT, due to WHAT YOU ARE EATING calorie wise........ stay OFF the scale, it will ONLY DISCOURAGE you............ focus on liquids, working out................and how your clothes are fitting........NOT THE NUMBER ON THE SCALE!!!

Protein will give you HARD stools........I mean HARD..... start taking a tspn of Milk of Magniusm..... if not look out for a VERY PAINFUL Bowel MOVEMENT................ you will be able to nail a board with your stool if you do not take the warning...............I tried the Miralax.............and it helped me NONE......... after surgery I had to endure the "self enama's" which some days I had to do 3 at a time......... prevent yourself the MISERY..take Milk of Magnesium.....and keep it up... to at least once or twice a week....... until you are NORMAL..............

I can usually tell about 3 hours after I have had a B12 shot,. everyone is different. I can tell a huge difference after 24 hours Best of luck to you.

I can handle a glass of wine............ I will not touch any MIXED drink ever again!... your body cannot handle it. Raise your hand after you can say yes I had the sleeve and I can drink like I used too.............. OR NOT~!~~~~ once again....you have been warned!

I kept it under wraps at work, but I had to tell my supervisor what I was doing, and when I told her, her reaction confirmed....... keep it quiet until AFTER. I had my surgery was out 3 weeks, I told EVERYONE when I went back. I knew I could not keep it a secret as the weight will fall off........ it has been 10 mos, and I had a male co worker come to me and he said I do not want you to take this the wrong way but you look fabulous....... I then told him... you do know I had weight loss surgery, he said NO........ what kind..we then had a long discussion, as he is thinking about it, after having open heart, and he has diabetis... I told him who my dr was.........and he confiding in me that he was looking into it................ I told him it was the BEST thing I had done for myself............and I was there to support him! cannot wait till he comes to me and says he is going to do it................ I want to be an example for others that need it.......and know they can come to me for support!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they called me and said your surgery is Next Tues. I lied and said I could not do it until the next week. I too was shocked and scared it happened all too fast... but SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy I did it.> as you will be.. best of luck to you, keep us posted Ü

I am so HAPPY for you.. I took the gasx STRIPS and used them.... everything else is pointless, as for me, I took the chapstick and used it also... wear loose clothes going in, and wear the same ones coming out., and THONGS (shoes) you will hate your dr when you wake up, BUT you will love him 6 months from now.! Heck I would start eating everything you know you will never eat again!!!!!! so you gain a few pounds, that will prove your DIETING does NOT WORK! keep us posted... we are all ROOTING for you.... you can and will do this!~!!! Ü

you can also buy NAIR for the face, just do not leave it on very long, a couple minutes at first. Most important do a TEST area FIRST... like I said do not leave it on as long at first you may be sensitive to it. after a few times, you wont have to use it very often.. you can find it at wally world, or a drugstore.

take a teaspoon of MOM, mint is best..... I was not allowed metamucil til 12 weeks after surgery..... I had one day I thought I would SH!& an elephant but coud not. IT is a miserable feeling....I tried enamas, it was too hard to come out...sorry tmi It took me 3 enamas one day just t get some relief!!! take the MOM and get it over with..the miruleux did me NO GOOD at all. best of luck to u

I had my surgery 9 mos ago, I bought a insulated luch bag, nd pck it the night before. Greek yogurt, protein drink, boiled egg, cheese ......etc. Best of luck to you

hello all, sounds like everyone is doing great, I got an unexpected job promotion, but it is just making me work like 60 hours a week until I learn the job itself! GRRR cannot get to the gym at all, I leave home at 5:30 AM and get home @ 6:30 7:00 PM... I cannot check in here like I like to. Have to go update my loss, I am at 87 lbs. All the men at work is telling me I am so skinny! I am not, they were just used to seeing this 254 lb woman, but it is nice to be noticed! ROCK that sleeve! 8 mos out, we went to a party for a "graduate". I remember taking 4 SIPS of a margarita.... I am done with any mixed drinks unless I do them MYSELF..... It will hit you like a ROCK WALL,, and you wont even know what happened. you are forwarned!!!!

Candyman, We all go through that after surgery... Just dont fret, with the calories you are eating you are going to lose.... try to stay OFF the scales Try to weigh only once a week at first then go to once a month..easy to say I know, It has been 8 mos for me, and I can finally NOT GET ON the scale everytime I get dressed. I only weigh weekly now, and sometimes still disappointed, but you have to remember, if you are working out you WILL lose INCHES, but no weight. you will actually gain some weight....the "fat" weight will come off, as long as you are putting the proper things in the "mouth" Best of luck to you and keep us posted.

Everything happens for a reason.......Think of it as getting your head ready.... I have seen too many think the surgery will fix their problems, you have to be MENTALLY ready to make the changes. Great that you got approved.

OK ladies, after being in "menapause" over a year, 7 mos AFTER my VSG I had a period, I went to my PCP, and she assured me she thought it was just the rapid weight loss... BUT if I have another next month to come back to her and she will put me back on the pill, SHE did say she thinks it is just the rapid weight loss and all the changes that my body has gone through, so DO NOT be surprised if Mother Nature shows her head after you have lost alot of weight... She did say she did not really think I could get pregnant, BUT not saying I could not!!! WTF... not what I wanted to hear.... so be very careful... It is so good to hear of all your weight loss stories.... I am loving my sleeve.....
