For breakfast I usually have a 1 egg cheese omelet on a piece of low carb bread with sugar free jam. For lunch I eat a grilled chicken breast. Afternoon snack is Greek yogurt, string cheese, or a protein bar. Dinner is whatever I make that night... I try to keep it high protein/lower carb, but that's not always the case. Sometimes I'll have a shake for an evening snack if I don't get all my protein in for the day. I've been averaging about 80-100grams a day.

My favorite snack is sargento low fat cheddar cheese sticks and my favorite dinner is stuffed cabbage or zucchini filled with ground turkey, turkey sausage, cheese, and quinoa then covered in tomato sauce and sauerkraut! Now I'm wanting some!!! -

Same here girl.. I'm so frustrated. I even upped my exercise and protein... My fiancé thinks I'm not eating enough. I'm so annoyed. I haven't lost a pound in so long. I DO agree with losing inches though... I noticed my waist and arms are smaller..

I had 1 oz turkey lunch meat on half of a low carb wrap... After the gym, I microwaved a Tyson ready grilled chicken breast and topped it with some spaghetti sauce and low fat mozz cheese. A delicious protein bomb! -
My fitness pal keeps yelling at me. Lol it keeps warning me that I'll go into starvation if I don't up my calories. I got about 800 cals and 96 grams of protein in today. I would think that would be sufficient....

Girl my shoe size was the last off all the sizes I was worried about losing! Hahaha and it ended up being the first size down I noticed!!

How many grams of protein a day?
futuremrsparker replied to Mid West's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was up and walking in the recovery room (I fought with the nurse and made her let me get up..haha)... You will feel SO much better SO much faster the more you walk!! The day after surgery, I woke up, washed off, did my hair and make up, got dressed in "work out" clothes, and walked the halls of the hospital with my IV pole in tote. Hahaha my nurse was like "wft??", but she ended up just laughing and telling me to be careful and just take it easy. I recovered and was back to work in less than 10 days though!! -

Had 3 inches of a pepperoni sub from Sheetz... Admittedly, not the best thing I could have chosen.. I've been craving one like crazy so I broke down when I had to stop and put air in my tire after school. I ended up getting an extra work out in after dinner out if guilt though. Hahaha -
I went from an 11 to a 10. Lol

Holy full belly!

It still amazes me how quickly solid protein fills me up versus solid carbs. I could probably (haven't tried it) eat a huge dinner roll and can only fit in a 2-3 oz grilled chicken breast. Crazy. -

My doc likes me to stay between 80 and 100 grams a day... Protein first ALWAYS, then fit in some carbs with each meal. She said that our brains need carbs to function properly and she wants people to eat a "real life" diet because there's no way someone will eat 20-30 grams of carbs for the rest of their life. Her big thing is to track every bite that goes in to my mouth, and I do! You'll lose a bit slower than those eating low low carb, but there's no way you won't lose if you're only eating 800-1000 cals a day and exercising even if you're eating 100 grams of carbs! Keep it up girl! You're going to be JUST fine!! <3

After a crazy wedding and lots of partying last night, my fiancé and I are having a lazy Saturday. Lol take out for dinner! Panera bread for my fiancé and Eat'n'Park for me! I got my absolute favorite!!! Chargrilled chicken breast dinner with a salad and mashed potatoes on the side. I was only able to eat the chicken breast, but I had 2 spoonfuls of taters. I also HAD to steal a small bite of my fiances sourdough to dip in my creamy italian salad dressing. SO. AMAZING. I absolutely adore EatnParks creamy italian! -
My lack of protein is catching up to me in more ways than one... This is just from combing my hair after my shower tonight...

Struggling tonight... I've been dealing with exhaustion (and I KNOW its because I've been lacking in protein), well.. Needless to say, I gained 5 lbs!! Ugh. So discouraging. So today I got back on the wagon and have had 93 grams of protein today and did a "Couch to 5k" work out.

Motivation has disappeared......

I JUST started having to take Zoloft for anxiety. Against everything I've ever believed about taking meds for my emotions (my whole background is in psych, so I see what these drugs can do to people over time). It got to the point where I was having panic attacks over the traffic in pittsburgh (which IS really awful, so I am justified! Haha)... But ever since I started taking a 1/2 tab of the lowest dose, I have totally found myself again. I feel "normal" again... Not tense and anxious all the time. So nice. My doctor said that gastric bypass can really throw hormones off, especially in women, and he sees this happen a lot. He counseled me for over an hour (I only had a 20 min appt). Lol he made me realize that I'm NOT crazy and it IS ok to accept help once and a while... Even in the form of meds.
