Protein goals

Great job Terry! I found out the reason I was so tired at first is because I wasn't getting enough protein in. Now that I am, I feel great! -
Daily calorie intake
futuremrsparker replied to taraster25's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I eat about 800-1,000 in a day. I usually get around 90-100 grams of protein in and I'm STILL not losing. I've been stalled for almost a month! It's so scary! I track everything that goes in to my mouth! So depressing. It seems like inches are coming off though because I've dropped 2 pants sizes this month, but have lost nothing... -
It's never ever too late! This is a lifestyle not a diet. In a lifestyle, you're going to LIVE. You're going to eat too much fudge at Christmas time, you're going to reach for that pizza instead of grilled chicken sometimes, and you'll never be perfect. I know I'm not. Just make sure you're living as healthfully as possible every day so the day you DO cheat, you know it won't be a huge deal. The key is not to live your life "cheating". That's how we got to the surgery in the first place. I was always so jealous of this girl I went to high school with. She's always been naturally thin and GORGEOUS! I would see her out with her friends drinking beer and having yummy treats on FB and just hate her! Lol now that she and I are friends on My Fitness Pal, I see that not only does she work out almost every day, but she also eats healthfully 80% of the time, but DOES enjoy a treat here and there. I'm trying to model myself after her now. Just remember-- everything in moderation! You're going to be just fine!

What ya eating tonight?
futuremrsparker replied to OleHippieGal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It depends on how strict your pre-op diet is. I didn't have one at all, so I can't answer your question with total honesty. I'm sorry! Google Russian dressing chicken nutrition stats then compare it to your diet plan. I couldn't imagine it being too far off of what the diet is though. I used the boneless skinless tenders and it only came out to like 103 cals, 16 carbs, and 23 grams of protein per tender. That's completely fine according to my docs post op diet. -

It's SO yummy and easy!! 1 package boneless skinless chicken 1 bottle Russian Dressing 1 packet dry onion soup mix 1 jar apricot preservers Spray baking dish. Place chicken down, cover in dry onion soup mix, drop spoonfuls of apricot preserves over each piece then spread over all the chicken. Pour Russian dressing over the too, cover, and bake for 1 hour at 350. For the spaghetti squash I just cut it in half, scoop out seeds and pulp, spread 2 tbs olive oil all over inside and out. Place face down on a baking sheet and bake for 1 hour at 350. Once finished, allowed to cool for about 5-10 min then take a fork and "string" the inside of it out to make your "spaghetti noodles". -

So I stopped and ordered a diet lemonade today on my way home-- so sick of water and unsweetened tea! Lol they screwed up and gave me regular. Dump city! So angry! I have so much I needed to get done tonight. I kinda want to call up and tell them that they made me really sick by screwing up my order (which I made very specific).

Four month post op pic.
futuremrsparker replied to futuremrsparker's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks ladies! I feel good (physically). I have days that I'm tired and lethargic... Then I realize I've missed my vitamins or skipped out on protein (easy fixes! Lol)... Mentally, I still feel like the fat girl in the room. I know I've lost 76lbs, but I still feel just as fat. My mind hasn't caught up with my body yet, I guess. My skin is getting so loose. I can pull my tummy skin out so far. It's weirdddddd. Lol -
Not too dramatic, but it's a start. My skin is sooo loose already!

((Hugs)) sorry for the bad day. Maybe go get the stuff to make a cheesecake protein shake. Laughing cow cinnamon, frozen strawberries, vanilla powder, milk, and a crushed up graham cracker! not exactly the same, but a yummy alternative!

POST-OP HUNGER IN MY HEAD
futuremrsparker replied to bcsilverstar's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Unfortunately in this stage, things can get seriously awful. Try to remind yourself that it's not forever. try shaking things up a bit... Maybe take a sip of pickle juice for a different flavor? I also put a tsp of ketchup in my chicken broth and mixed it well. Gave it a bit of a tangy flavor. You could also try brewing your own home made decaf iced tea with some mint or citrus in it. maybe heat up some VERY diluted apple juice and add in some cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice! Add some pumpkin pie spice to a vanilla protein shake or even some decaf coffee! This is the stage where creativity is key to survival! Hahaha good luck! You can do it!! -

How many calories are you all eating in a day? I've been getting around 1,000-- my fitness pal keeps calculating it to like 700-800 depending on the exercise I do that day and says I've been eating too little and will go into starvation. I'm afraid to up my calories (and don't know where I'd put the food). I have been in a long stall though...
