    June surgeries!

I know what you mean. My fiancé is the best and an amazing caregiver, but I'm not used to just sitting around at all. It feels awful to me. Makes me depressed to just sit around instead of being up and doing stuff around my house...

    June surgeries!

Yeah, we have a 2 bedroom apt so I'm basically doing laps around the inside. I'm also holding on to the back of a chair and doing little steppies. Hoping it starts to move this gas. I hear it rumbling away and feel it lower and lower, but it still refuses to come out. Lol

    June surgeries!

I'm worried... I know I'm not getting in enough fluid cause all I wanna do is sleep. It's SO hard to get all of this fluid in when I can only drink 1 oz every 15 min. This fluid thing is a full time job! My goodness! And I'm SO tired today. I know I took frequent naps in the hospital, but I never remember being THIS sleepy.

    October surgery

Are you able to plant a small garden? If so, that could be a more economical way of you getting some fresh veggies. Goodness knows how expensive they are in the store! It's incredible to me how expensive healthy food is. My best suggestion is just portion control. If you can't afford the more expensive, less processed food then just try and eat a little less of what you can afford. I know I shop at Aldi (a discount grocery store in my area). If you have online access (which I suppose you have some since you're on here), try and look for discount grocery stores in your area. I know we couldn't afford half of what we eat if I didn't shop there. I'll try and think of some of my less expensive, healthier meals and il share. Let me check out my "meal book". Lol

    June surgeries!

Hey guys! Hope everyone is doing well. I'm currently sitting here waiting for my ride to go home! Yay!!! Soooo excited!!! I'm feeling so much better after my little sicky moment yesterday. I do want to know-- those of you who are losers. When you got home, did you have any trouble keeping up with fluids? I'm very worried I'll mess up, get dehydrated, and end up back in the hospital. I hated it here! Lol everyone was so nice, but wow, I missed my home!

    June surgeries!

Hey guys... Sorry I haven't updated you all. So I an officially on the losers bench, but not without complications.. :/ my surgery went swimmingly and I seemed to be recovering great. Yesterday morning I woke up feeling and looking wonderful. Well, all of a sudden, around 2, I got REALLY sick. I threw up a bunch of dark liquid. They rushed me down for some tests cause they were worried that my bowel was blocked or pinched off. They came back normal and I'm now feeling ok, but that set me back a day so I'm still lot drinking yet or taking oral meds... I will start that today after they do one more test to make sure my bowel is working. Please pray. All I want is to go home. I'm so uncomfortable here and miss my home.

    June surgeries!

Well.. This is it. I have to be at the hospital at 9:30 and surgery is at 11:30 tomorrow. I want to thank all of you for holding me up in your prayers and all of the kind, encouraging words. It means so much to me. WrightNow, are you ready??? Nervous?? I'm excited and hoping they don't postpone it, but it is what it is at point. Lol I'll get over it either way.

    June surgeries!

Guys please keep up the prayers. I woke up so sick still and one of the PAs I work with said my tonsils will probably be too swollen for them to get a tube down my throat tomorrow. I'm feeling so defeated. If they have to cancel, this will be the second time. I just want to lay in bed and cry.

    June surgeries!

Nope... I asked a million times and she didn't even say to eat lightly. Just no food or drink after midnight the night before surgery. It's FABULOUS. Lol I have to admit that I've been being a little greedy and eating like a cow. Haha I bought a tub of Breyers vanilla Oreo ice cream today and intend to kill it off before Tuesday night. :/

So I'm starting to freak out a bit. Lol I'm thinking that I only have 2 days left to get in yummy food and drinks that I won't be able to have for a while. Pizza Hut for dinner tonight! Haha

    Birthcontrol ?

I must agree. I'm so confused about what to do after surgery. I have been on the pill for a year now and loved it, but don't want to chance getting prego post op. I tried the Nuva ring in the past, but my girlie parts lay on their back so it wouldn't stay in. So then I tried depo. My goodness did I get horrible acne and mood swings. Next came the Mirena. I was miserable for months and we couldn't figure out why. Finally after my FOURTH ER visit. A nurse practitioner pointed out that I was actually having contractions and my cervix was dilating and trying to push the Mirena out because of how tilted my uterus is. Every hospital I went to refused to take it out because of "liability" reasons. It was a terrible experience. My fiancé ended up pulling it out one day when I couldn't stand up from how bad the contractions were. So now I'm stuck. my next step is to try the Implanon and pray I don't have some kind of freakish reaction to it! Lol
  21. I had my band out on April 18th. They were supposed to do RnY same time, but I had too much scar tissue. Having by bypass this Wednesday. My lap band/scar tissue removal took about 1.5 hours... She said my RnY will take about 2 hours at least- maybe more depending on scar tissue.

  25. Just be honest! Tell him that you're so excited and appreciative to have the new position, but ask if you may have a later start date because you had surgery scheduled. Don't specify what surgery, just say the surgery cannot wait. Make sure he or she knows how appreciative you are that they hired you, but be very apologetic for the timing of surgery vs. start date.
