Hey all! I looked around and couldn't find anything for June surgeries. I don't have my exact date yet, but it will be the 1st or 2nd week of June!! Sooo excited!! I had my lap band out on April 18th and they were supposed to do the bypass, but they weren't able to due to scar tissue. I saw my surgeon today and all should be a go for June! Yay!!!! RNY here I come!!!

A typical day of eats for me...
futuremrsparker posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
A link to my blog. I'm not horribly great at posting, but here is just a typical day of eating for me. My Couch. My Blanket. My Life. http://mcmbml.blogspot.com/ -
So, unfortunately, today I got to experience something that brought up past feelings of how people made me feel in school... Only this time it's BECAUSE of my weight loss. I got my new license today and took a side by side pic of my old vs. my new. I thought it was funny how different my face looked. Well, after posting it on Facebook, an old friend of mine made a very rude comment that actually sent me in to tears at work. I'm not easily shaken, but this really hurt. It taught me an important lesson though... Fat, skinny, black, white, tall, or short... People are people and will always find something to say about you. I just feel badly that he had to be so mean... I'm pretty down this afternoon because of him.

I missing pickles
futuremrsparker replied to mommashari's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was allowed to have pickles at 4 weeks out. Of you're still very new, try drinking some of the juice. I was craving pickles like crazy and my doctor said drinking the juice was perfectly fine. -
coffee drinkers

I switch back and fourth depending on if I need a buzz or not. Haha I must say, the K-cup decaf coffee is delicious! No difference in taste at all. -
It's official, I have no restriction
futuremrsparker replied to Mid West's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I actually can do the same thing. If it's soft and full of carbohydrates, I can usually get in much more than something that is only protein. I am a band to bypass revision too and have wondered the same thing. Why can I eat so much more than some? I just measure everything now and stop the second I feel full. Seems to work ok for me. -
Rude is never ok.
futuremrsparker replied to futuremrsparker's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ugh .. It's been a terribly stressful day. I had a huge disappointment at work today then this asshole was the icing on my cake. I'm so embarrassed to admit this, but I returned to my old friend and binged tonight. Now I feel even worse.. 4 inches of a turkey subway sub, 6 Hershey kisses, and 1/2 cup of milk. I have no clue where it all went. Ugh... Just ready for bed. -
Proud of ya girl! It's so funny.. When we finally relax, it's like our body's relax and let it "go". Lol

Thanks.. And yes, he was promptly deleted. I was dumbfounded that someone would be so outright rude. -
Oh no?! Guacamole?? That really stinks. Maybe it's the fat in the avocado. :/ yeah, I'm grateful my body doesn't do THAT to me. Lol do meats get to you?

I'd be happy to dump. I did at first, but now I can eat anything with no problem. That's scary to me. Lol

Congrats! Me too! I have been stalled for OVER a month at the same weight and finally lost 3 lbs over the last 3 days! I think I was underestimating my intake and not getting enough calories. On Thursday I decided to not count calories for a week and just "eat mindfully". That's what I've been doing and to my surprise, I've lost a pound a day! Lol I'm so happy, but a little nervous that this is just a tease. Haha

What ya eating tonight?

Congratulations!!!! So cute!!! Hope you and baby are doing well! -
So I have been stalled between 152 and 147 for like over a month. I keep going up and down. My diet is great and I work out a ton. I'm so discouraged. My fiancé thinks I'm obsessing over calories too much and should try to just use my intuition and eat healthfully w/o documenting for a few days and see what that does for me. I'm thinking about going back to liquids for a few days to see if that will break the stall. I'm so sad... I'm worried I'm failing and don't know why...

1/2 of a baked chicken tender and spaghetti squash with tomato sauce on all of it. Yum! -
Hello guys and gals
futuremrsparker replied to Tina727's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Try goats milk! It tastes exactly like cows milk, but doesn't have the same proteins in it that make people sick. I love it! Seriously NO difference!---- well, other then price. Lol it's a tad on the expensive side. -
How long before you had a 'drink'?
futuremrsparker replied to Mid West's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my first drink at 6 weeks out. I was tipsy and sober again within an hour. Lol -
I won't share my day today because the pouch was a bit "off" so it wasn't a normal day for me. On the menu for tomorrow is.. Breakfast: 100 calorie multigrain english muffin and slice of muenster cheese (probably only eat half). Snack: cucumber Lunch: 6 cocktail shrimp and some cocktail sauce Snack: Protein bar Dinner: sautéed chicken, zucchini, and brown rice (I may make spaghetti squash to have instead because I haven't tried rice yet and am kind of nervous). Snack: Some milk with protein Cereal or a Click Decaf Protein shake. My surgeon prefers me to do 6 small meals a day so I stay full. Works very well with my busy schedule.

Congratulations, RJ!! So happy for you! That's awesome to hear! You've really been working so hard and you're such an inspiration to all of us! Keep rockin it!

I had a delicious Sunday dinner! 2 oz steak, 5 small cocktail shrimp, 2 spoonfuls of cheesy potatoes, and a spoonful of spinach. I had a serious craving for surf and turf! This totally took care of that--- love Sunday dinner with my fiancé. It's one of our favorite moments with each other each week. -

Feeling down
futuremrsparker replied to prettynpink's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
((Hugs))... I've been in that exact position. People that don't have a chemical imbalance just don't get it. Combine that with the mental problems weight loss surgery causes and you have a recipe for disaster. Just try and keep your chin up! I know this sounds like the LAST thing you want to do, but exercise actually helps to even out the chemical signals in our brain ACTUALLY making us happier. It also releases endorphins (which make you happier). It also helps curb cravings (which get rid of a stressor). And lastly, it helps you shed more pounds (which makes all of us REALLY happy! Haha)... Go for a walk with some good tunes playing! Turn up the jams and dance around your bedroom! Guaranteed even if you feel like crap, one glimpse of yourself acting like a boob in the mirror will bring a smile! Lol good luck girl! Feel free to PM me if you just need to vent! Sometimes we all need someone who is just willing to listen to our problems. -

I went shopping for clothes this weekend. I came home with a bunch of great stuff, but complained to my fiancé that I couldn't find anything in the size I needed. He then asked me "were you looking in the plus size section or regular section?"... It occurred to me... I was ONLY looking in the plus size section when I'm down in NORMAL sizes again! Holy cow! I haven't gone to the regular womens section since 8th grade! I didn't even think to look there!! -
