  1. Hi Everyone, My name is Sandy. I was banded on May 20, 2009, by Dr. Matt Glascock at Sartori Hospital in Cedar Falls Iowa. I am very discouraged. I've lost only 30 lbs. in 3 years. I do 45 mins. of aerobics everyday followed by 2 miles on the treadmill. I'm not losing anything! My family says that I am tightening up but I don't feel it in my clothes. I watch what I eat and I just don't get it. I really need some support. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
  2. Thanks for the support everyone. I do keep a food journal on myfittnesspal.com. I have increased my walking to 3 miles and I bought a more difficult aerobic video. My next step is to get back to the dr. for a fill. I don't feel any restriction when i eat and am probably eating a little more than I should. I'm going to try and check in more often. Thanks again for the support. Sandy

    No appetite..

It is scary LeeLee. You have to start mushy food and go slowly so your body can adjust easily. Having food rejected is not fun buy losing the weight is right? Instead of pureeing the foods you' d like to eat try food that is already mushy, like cottage cheese or yogurt. I can't remember now what all I ate. It will be okay. Take it slow and chew, chew, chew. Sandy

Good advice Robbie! MsAnn if you are not medicated for your depression you really need to talk to someone about getting on something. I've had severe clinical depression for 20+ years and would be in my bed everyday if I didn't take something. You can do this! There are people out there to support you. I just found this website and myfittnesspal.com. Both are providing me with connections to people that understand and care. No one here should be critical or judgemental. We are all in the same boat. I agree with Robbie, take little steps. Don't run a marathon before you walk to the end of the driveway. You can do this! Good luck and keep posting your concerns so we can help you through them. Sandy
