Most people would probably say I'm rather young to have decided to do the surgery, but I'm glad I did. Weight has always been an issue for me, and diets where I was asked to be totally cut off from foods I loved soo did not work! That was one of the things that sounded so great about this surgery. I very much ignored my weight and health issues until I got a wake up call that I was in the pre-diabetic category. Diabetes was not something I wanted to start dealing with, I am very young after all. So that was my push to start looking for good long term options of how to lose weight. This surgery was the best option for me and my limited will power with food I love.
I haven't rapidly lost weight or anything like that, but slowly and surely I have gone down 2 dress sizes in a year and am officially not in any diabetic category...everything is back to healthy ranges! I am very happy with my decision to go through with this surgery and would recommend it to anyone who is struggling with weight issues.
