That is great I lost 85 lbs. I had my surgery May 2011. I am 5'9'' and now weigh about 155. I am at goal and my Dr. is very proud of me. He said I need to maintain and not lose anymore. I mostly wear size 8. That is what I wore before I gained my weight' My meds caused me to gain and I couldn't lose it. I got to come off most of my meds and I am doing great. I am so happy to be small again. I didn't like all that extra weight. I had been skinny all my life. I feel so much better and I have more energy. You will lose the last 8lbs. easy. Good Luck! I had Lap Band with Plication in May of 2011. I weighed 239lbs. and was 5 ft. 9 in. tall. I now weigh 162lbs. and I feel great. I am very happy I had it done. I would like to hear from other people who have had this surgery. I also am a urostomy person. I don't have a bladder and they still did this surgery on me. I feel so much better to have lost all that weight and I have more energy. I eat pretty much what I want to just less of it. I also drink a lot of Slim Fast. Let me hear from you!

I was banded and had gasric plication in May 2011. It was rough but would do it all over again for I feel so much better. I swam all summer but I need to exercise now. I can't wait for summer to swim again. I should join the health club and swim there. I may do that soon. I have lost 77lbs. since May. It has been an easy lose.

I don't have to get lap band fills. I saw my Dr. Mon. 23rd and He said I need to maintain. I need to eat more calories. I am happy!

You might try to raise the head of your bed. My husband did mine because I WAS HAVING A LOT OF COUGHING. IT STOPPED AFTER THAT.

I had the lap band with the plication. I don't have to have band fills and I can't eat a lot. I do eat mostly what I want to. But the plication is where they fold the stomach and stitch it and you don't need the band fills. I have lost 77lbs. since May 2011. I am still slowly losing. It can be reversed if needed.

I eat pretty much what I want to. I can eat the white meat in chicken. I don't have a fill in my band because I had plication with it. That might be why I can eat the white meat.

Same problem here. I can't get chat either. So it must be a problem for everyone. I guess we will just have to wait it out.

I had lap band with plication and it has been great weight loss. I don't have to get lap band fills. My stomach is folded and stitched and I don't need the fills. I is great! I don't have to do liquids for that.

I had the lapband with plication and it has done me great. I had it in May 2011 and I have lost 77lbs. I do not over eat now. If you find the right Dr. you can get help.

I had my surgery May 2011 and I started biotin that month. I have not lost any hair and I take it everyday. My daughter is a beauty operator and she said to keep on taking it. So I would start it. Good Luck!

I agree with the lap band and plication. I had that and I have done great. I don't have to get fills in my band. I had mine in May 2011 and I have lost 77lbs. I weighed 239 and I now weigh 162 and I am 5'9". I think I have lost enough. I am thrilled.

I think I would call the Dr. if the pain meds don't help. If your jaw is hurting that sounds different. Call the Dr.

I had a lot off gas pains too. I had some loratab liquid so I used that. It helped me. I hope you are a lot better.

I had lap band my plication in May 2011. I have lost 77lbs. I don't have to have fills but the band helps too. I am very pleased with what I have lost. It was tough at first but glad I did it.

I had lap band with plication in May 2011. I love mine. I have lost 77lbs. I don't have to have my band filled with the plication. So I don't have to see the Dr.but every 3 months. I live in Boaz Al. I had surgery in Birmingham Al. it is about 65 miles from me. I am very glad I had the surgery. You lose weight a lot faster with the plication. Sharon

I had my lapband and plication May 20, 2011. I am so glad the Dr. told me about plication I don't have to get fills in my band. I have lost 77lbs. I weigh 162 and I am 5'9". I will be happy with 149 or 150. I have felt plenty of restriction with just the band open. I am so glad I don't have to have fills. I had the hia hernia repair too. I hurt from the gas and shoulder pain but I stayed in the hospital 3 nights. It was good because they gave me pain meds. I eat about what I want to now. I just eat a lot less and get full real quick. I love crab legs and can eat them good. I was glad to read that someone had had this too. I think it is great. Sharon

I would go back to liquids and see how you feel. If you still see blood later than I would call a Dr.

I was nervous too. I had mine in May 2011 and I had plication with it. I have lost 77lbs. I feel great. I can get around so much better. I eat what I want just very small amounts of it.

They told me no but when I am a little sick I have some ginger ale and doesn't seem to bother me any. It helps the sickness.

I didn't know you could get shots for protein. Do you have to have a prescription?

Yes I did. They did it when they did the band and plication. It helps you not have acid reflux and it is easier to swallow. I have trouble with that sometimes.and it helped it.It won't make a difference with the lap band.

Hi give yourself time and stay on the liquids till time for the other food. You will do a lot better. You can't rush those liquids. When it is time for food you will do a lot better. I was done in May 2011. I have lost 77lbs. I eat pretty much what I want to just a lot less of it. I will be 60 in Feb. I feel like a whole new person. Hang in there!
