Has lapband weight loss helped your health problems?

Hi I'm new here and tried to read the forums to see if this topic has come up before. I am waiting for my lapband surgery, and while I am very interested in help losing the weight (55 lbs), I am wondering if it can significantly reduce my high blood pressure (which requires medication) or reduce my sleep apnea (Ihave to use a C-PAP) machine at night. Would be very interested in others experiences with lap band weight loss helping related heralth problems? -
