I dont look at sizes anymore. I have shopped at ross and an x large fit then another shirt was a 2x and the same size. I put what fits and dont worry about size. We all look at sizes but I can fit anywhere from a size 15 pants up to an 18 depending on how they are cut. I use to get upset when I had to buy a size bigger then I thought I was but now realize clothes are cut so differently. Just shop til ya drop.

Are There Really That Many Failed Bandsters Out There?
cheryl2586 replied to joylene6's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am almost three years out and have been maintaining at 179 I would love to be 160 but Im not sweating it. It was the best decision I ever made. My best friend and I had it done the same day, she didnt follow the rules causing her band to slip and had it removed instead of wanting it fixed. She said she couldnt live eating so little food, but that was her decision. I love being thinner better then 287. It was a sacrifice but it was worth it. -
Thats when you have to exercise at home. Don't let these things sabotage your progress. What if you were stuck in the house for three weeks? We have to learn not to let boredum be our doom and gloom.

It is most hospitals policy to not let patients take public transportation after a procedure because say your in a taxi and the driver knows you had a procedure and decides to do something unthinkable, or your on public transportation and the same thing happens. They have to look out for your safety and make sure you get home safe. I would see if someone could surely pick you up even if your friend can just pick you up and drop you off somewhere.

Once they take out fluid you cant get back like you were before. The band is stretched for so long it wont go back to where you were before without more fluid

Down 102 Lbs & Depressed!
cheryl2586 replied to RoniB's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes yes you're not alone. When I look at some of my old clothes and I saved them not because I want to ever fit in them again but as a reminder of how aweful it was. Can you try to go to thrift stores or something to pick up a few things to wear. I got three brand new pair of jeans once at a thrift store for 4 bucks for all three. They had never been washed. -
I eat a half cup which is 4 oz. That is what you're supposed to eat. If your hungry later on eat more. I eat every couple of hours but I do not go over 1/2 cup of food.

Eat And Drink And No Issues
cheryl2586 replied to fire_bellydancer's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
The only way to solve the eating drinking problem is to not have a drink with you while your eating. I leave all my drinks on my computer when I go to lunch. I wait 30 minutes after I eat. It's not hard to give up drinking and eating at the same time you just have to not bring the drink with you or order one if your out eating. -
I Feel Like I Am At A Standstill With My Weight :(
cheryl2586 replied to jennbrenna's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You're doing fine. It will move again. As far as starvation mode eventually the body has no choice but to lose. Up your protein more it will start moving. Hang on. -
If you had your band removed why do you sitll come here? To preach that your band removal wasnt your fault? I think you're feeling guilty because you didnt do what you were supposed to or why would you be so angry about it. Stop harassing us with your nonsense because your now miserable. My God face it bands fail because people fail. And no I do not over eat ever you know why???? Because I dont want my band to erode thats why.

? On Carb Amounts Post Band
cheryl2586 replied to csking's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I dont eat any carbs except veggies. I dont know what the ratio of carbs should be. Eating starchy carbs just makes me feel bad so I sta away from them except for a few crackers now and then with some laughing cow cinnamon cheese spread on it. But then I use the pretzel crisps but I really dont know about the carbs. I try to eat more protein then carbs so it will burn the fat. -
We want to keep our old habits but you can't. I know its sounds bad but throw the rest away and start now. If you cheat this early in the game then you are setting yourself up to fail. Everyone says so what move on and start over but you have to gain your strength from this moment on. Change your thoughts about food now. Your doing this for you so from now on stop letting food control you.
