cheryl2586 replied to donna12's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Flu season is over. You probably have some other kind of bug. Hope you feel better soon. Drink lots of fluids get some powerade they make it without sugar now. -
The band is made of silicone so it is highly unlikely that your body would reject it.

Get some Mag Citrate that will blow you out lol

Unfortunately if you are going to have sagging skin you just will. There is nothing to prevent it. It depends your you skins elasticity as to whether you will have sagging skin or not.

Is anyone just tired all the time?
cheryl2586 replied to chas1112's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Well it wont be enough for a while. You will get back to normal hopefully soon. -
Slightly uncomfortable question about....
cheryl2586 replied to koolkel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Being on high protein in its self will constipate you. Prune juice works great without laxatives if you can stand it but I always laughed at my mother when I was young when I saw it in the fridge and now I have it in mine lol. Miralax is okay too but sometimes takes too long for me. I use peri colace (the generic version) its rarely that I don't need something to go. -

The tiredness will go once you start eating protein. That is also a sign you will know when you are not getting enough. -
swollen site left of port, where tube is. Normal?
cheryl2586 replied to mileend's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think you should listen to your doctor. He may be wrong or right but none of us should answer this question for you. We could give you a very wrong answer and it would not be right to advise you medically. -
Great job. So glad you know it takes patience. Everyone needs to learn that. You are doing awesome.

Excited ....Date night with hubby
cheryl2586 replied to countrygrl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Date nights are the best and all married people should do it no matter what. We do it often and it is so much fun. -
There are Two Types of People Who Offer Help on this Forum....
cheryl2586 commented on Terry Poperszky's blog entry in Terry Poperszky's Blog
It often really is quite distressing when people say you're rude when in all reality they do not know you personally. I'm not pulling any punches because I did not get where I am being coddled, eating crap or puking up my guts. I got where I am because I followed the instructions given to me and continue to do so every single day give or take a few but you know where I'm coming from. -
Prejudice against fat people

Hang in there you will get what you have been waiting for. It may take longer but look what you have to look forward too. -
Help please. Is my band to tight?
cheryl2586 replied to r_martin77's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
sounds to me like you have a slipped band. I would call your doctor asap -
You are always going to find people who are against any weight loss surgery. I tell everyone so they can see the success I have been. Then they can't say one thing bad to me now. I think people are afraid to tell people that they had surgery in case they fail at it but that should just be more incentive to make you prove them wrong.

Banding and Eating Disorder Question!
cheryl2586 replied to moonlightdreamer's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Does your bingeing also come with purging because if so then that will definitely be a problem with the band. Vomiting with the band will cause slippage especially early on. How will you handle it if you purge? -
lol I am thinking of getting a fill because winter has doomed me. Not gaining but not losing either.
-
In the beginning you won't be too mindful about bite sizes until you start getting fills and get your first lovely stuck episode. Then you will pay attention to the bite sizes. I don't take small bites but I chew really well but I also don't have a tight band either.

New here, but veteran Bandster in need of some ideas.
cheryl2586 replied to Ken Pollard's topic in The Guys’ Room
I guess we all get stuck but you have to just keep doing what you're doing. Your body is trying it's damndest to hold on to the last of your fat. Perserverence is worth it. -
Any NSV to me is better then losing pounds. I love when I can do things I never have done in years. Congrats on your silly accomplishment lol

Constipation
cheryl2586 replied to ireallywannabthin's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
High protein in its self causes constipation. I would add a stool softener but if you can stomach it drink a large glass of warm prune juice. It should cause an explosive affect lol -
How much weight has this whole forum lost

Band Bashers
cheryl2586 replied to TEAM SASHA PINK's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Besides its not the band they really have the problem with, its the fact you will be looking hot and sexy and they will still look like godzilla. Rock the band on. -
You are a beautiful woman. I am sure your husband loves you no matter what. You will be the person you want to be. Right now it is easy to eat for all the wrong reasons, but in months to come you will develop a new relationship with food. Emotions before and after this surgery certainly run high as to the uncertainty that lies ahead, however there is a light at the end of the tunnel and you will become the beautiful swan you set out to be. Keep your chin up it only gets better.
