Well thanks everyone just knowing I am not a loner gives me a confidence boost. There is just something about saying it outloud ( or a post ) that's helps you get past it . I am having my surgery in Fed 58 days from now so I think I will have time to clean up my act. I hope to start 2011 off right

I think you have your answer ! You don't go to a restraunt and ask the waiter what you are having do ya? Nope you tell them ! If there is no sound medical reason for you to not have the surgery kick that punk a$$ Dr. to the curb. I let what others thought hold me back from doing this 2 years ago and boy am I kicking myself now . You don't have a back up life waiting this is it so live it the way you want. I hope it all works out in the end

I have 5 kids ages 14,13,11,9 & 6 months . I am just being honest about the whole deal with them. I told them I am going in Feb to get skinny surgery.I haven't given them details and they didn't ask . My kids seem excited they can't wait to see how I look

I think that is because Texans are bigger we are raised to eat good and not to waste food. I know not finishing my food is something that will be hard to over come post surgery. Ya just can't always carry your left overs home some things are just no good reheated . It gives me stress to think about wasting food .

:rolleyes:OMG that is pretty neat and he is so right about TX and they do say everything is bigger in TX . By speaking out he is taking the hush hush attitude away and making it seem ok .....because it is ok to be happy

Well I am going with Dr. Kelly in February and it was just a couple hundred more. From what I understand they do leak test before you leave and it is all included if you need repair. It is a different story if you leave and develop a leak later. I would go to ER and not try to go back to Mexico because that is life threatening

Me and 3 out if my 5 kids are all stuck in bed with a mean nasty stomach flu and I wonder if things like this will be worse after surgery ? With 4 of my kids school age and a 6 month old at home reality is that I will be dealing with things like this post op.

Thanks guys that's pretty helpful advice and makes me feel A little more comfortable . At this point I don't think anything could keep me from my surgery . I have 3 different sitters lined out and already paid for our passports. This is a huge deal with so many kidos ages 14,13,11,9 and my Lyla 6 months. After all this prep and planning wild horses couldn't drive me away. I was just here thinking man being sick sucks and I worried it cod be worse post op

I am just wondering if you have met your deductible for the year and if you will have the chance at another date before the new year. I have 5 kids and I agree that maybe moving the date would be a good way to be sure you enjoy the magic

Awwww yes my sweet tea I drink 10 buckets a day lol of maybe not that much but still a lot. I just want to get myself lined out. I don't know what I would do without this web site

Ok 2011 is going to be the year I take time to do for myself and take the time to enjoy my life. I am getting my sleeve in February but starting my new way of life 1-1-2011. I just need ideas how to make the transion and start making better life choices. I am endig this life long relationship with food and moving on a little bit scared but a:unsure: lot HAPPY. Any suggestion where to start ,what to eat,and most of all how to deal with the emotions of letting go of fried food and sweet tea??? So hard to imagine a world where I am thin and not always the big girl in the crowd.

Oh I have tried Crystal light years ago and liked it so maybe I need to start buying it again. I think I will get on a new plan after Christmas to keep surgery from being such a culture shock to my body because I do have bad eating habits. One girl told me to get my clothes in order by size and another told me to start hitting the local good wheel to get a few jeans and stuff in smaller sizes I am going to start on that but just not get any like super small sizes just like 1 or 2 sizes below where I am at now. Seeing how you are going first keep me updated please I am so excited

I just had a baby in June and the days before I was induced I did like you trying to get everything done before I went. It didnt work I still had things i fet needed to get done and that I had missed something. Not to worry Gal just do your best and if you have kids put them to work LOL

who was your dr in Mexico ? and i am glad you are doing so well

Hmmmm I think if you are worried call the Doctor better safe than sorry I would hate for something to be wrong and you didnt want to say anything. On the other hand he may tell you it is normal and put your mind at ease so that would be worth the call as well. Feel better soon:(

Is constipation a commen problem with this surgery ? Also how long post op till you can wear a regular bra again ?
