In my opinion Doctor's have become so biased themselves because of patient non compliance. They want the quick in and out surgeries that make them money and not get chained down with after care.

that is true with many....I go to a Bariatric Center of Excellence, so the followup/after care is mandatory and done well, in my opinion...

but I agree, the lap band has a higher rate of failure because of non-compliance by the patient. Even with the sleeve, I can get away with more than someone with a gastric bypass, but I choose NOT to go that way...

I've seen too many people fail at lap band (yes, due to their own non-compliance in these particular cases). So I went a step further for the sleeve (it was my doctor's recommendation as well, because I had a high BMI and a lot to lose...but in the end it was my choice)
