Over eating has always been my way of coping with problems, starting from my childhood to now. My complex was overpowering and I allowed myself to get around 300lbs.
I worked with a gentlemen who had undergone a LAP-BAND surgery that was enjoying its benefits of curved appetites and weight loss. I scheduled meetings with him to learn more about his doctor, the procedure, and even learning how to deal with our insurance company.
December felt like a good month so I scheduled a meeting with Dr. Patrick Dillawn, per his reference, and scheduled my surgery ASAP.
My mother was having health problems a few months after my second adjustment so I resigned from my job to care for her. Without the job I didn't have insurance to keep up with the adjustments so I allowed 2yrs to go by without an adjustment.
In the 2yrs. and from that second adjustment I was able to loose 40lbs and maintain 238lbs. I met the love of my life and married. My husband is happy with me just the way I am, but I still want to continue my weight loss journey...it's not over :)
I'm so happy to have found this website because I want to meet people that are like minded and have similar weight loss aspirations.
