Gotta pay. Employer exclusion for all things obesity/weight loss related including co-morbidities. Want to know ramifications of future insurance coverage, how to mitigate risk of needing another surgery how to negotiate the fee lower than the "rack rate" that the surgeon has quoted. They bill insurance $30K they get $8K, I pay $17K -- no WAY!
