I have been overweight almost my entire life but the reason I was pushed to get gastric bypass surgery is because I suffer from Pseudotumor Cerebra and am losing my eyesight. After being treated via Lumbar Puncture (spinal tap) 6 times, the disks in my back have started to disintegrate and so losing drastic weight MIGHT be the only way to save my vision, save for perhaps a form of brain surgery ...which I really don't want. I was highly apprehensive about getting this surgery but went through with it because I feel like I might not ever get the chance again.
