    Soda :(

I was told zero calorie soda is okay, but I steer away from sodas. Not because I don't think I can have it, but because I don't crave it. I drink vitamin waters, hawiian sf punch in all flavors, tea, coffee, and water. On occasion I have a non-fat frappe at least once a month. I don't like junk food any more but all of this takes time, you will get there.I craved coke zero once took one sip and was done. Like some on here has said they let the carbonation die down first. Each doc is different and more research has been done on the band. If doc says no avoid it he's the one doing your surgery. I dont penalize myself, if the day comes when I want a chip, soda, or candy, I will. I will not eat whole bar but satisfy craving and I have the will power to do that, its all about being in control. The reason we have gotten here is no self control, I have learned that with the band and its easier now to just say no. Good luck.

    C-Section Vs. Lap Band Recovery

I had 5 c-sections and the lapband recovery was worst to me. I needed more help than expected and was down longer. With my sections I was up and about in 2 weeks with this band, at least 6 weeks before I felt normal again.
  13. Up my protein shakes and feeling great. If you can eat much, you must replace your body with what it needs. Hope all is well.

  14. 40 lb total lost. Hit the twoteens today, hope I'm in the greenzone. This is the best thing I could have ever done.

    Wishy-Washy

hang in there it gets better, did not feel right until about 6 weeks post-op now im great. I had nausea meds that I took when needed. I felt the same way but it did get better. Good luck and welcome to the other side. Remember everyone is different, you are not alone.

    The Bill Arrived...

My pay was $100 for lapband and hernia repair I was shocked thought it would be more total costs over $45,000. To pay $100 I was happy.
  17. Tryin to increase my protein/water intake been a struggle, I hate water at least 64 oz of it. 2 more days til strength/toning training yeah I'm ready for it.

  18. Down 4.2 lbs today very pleased. Hope I am off my plateau. Losing inches but no weight x 2 weeks, but was told the inches come before we see lbs off the scale.

  19. 2nd fill was better got lidocaine for numbing. Felt weird this time though, I could feel the fluid going in & felt when she finally hit it. I did not notice that last time.

Sorry to hear this, her input here wll be greatly missed. If she died from a slip thats really scary. Im newly banded and this is terrifying. My prayers go out to her family. RIP Shirley. May God keep you safe in his arms.
