No have not been told that before but yes i have been getting bills from all over the place. This surgery actually cost more than what i was told. I have received bills for physician again paid $276 before surgery got a bill now owe almost $400 more. Anesthesia $414, Radiology to check band placement $28.40 hospital stay total $ 200 paid, and $700 to true results, sleep study $113, pcp stress test $600 and thats so far and I have UHC. I am losing weight just wish i was honestly told what this would have cost upfront. Goodluck.

Band Placed Too High, Recurring Pneumonia....anyone Else??

Sorry you have had all of this distress but when thinking about the sleeve all I can say is if you do develop problems its not reversible. Thats what steered me away from that surgery but the decision is yours its your body. I have not experienced none of the problems you are having but wish you luck on your decision.

    Checking In!

Hi, I am down 43.2 lbs hope to be at goal by the end of the year. Next fill scheduled for May 22. Goodluck
  17. I agree with the other posters, also the band is a tool. I am almost 3 months out and have learned to use this tool. By following wit my dr request. There are a lot things that could be causing you to vomit. I would see my dr and talk to him. Did you stay in contact with physician after banding? with the band inside you should have visits with dr. I meet a lady 2 years out who was there for a fill. The band needs to be maintained if its causing you distress always remember to see ur dr. Good luck to you.

Yea I know. I tried banana in the beginning and struggled with it felt like it wasn't going down so I gave it away lol. But I tried one the other day and I was fine so I have added bananas back into my diet. My doc did change my BP meds go back in a month. Thanks

    March Bandsters!

I eat 2 meals a day, but small meals at 1/2 cup is good, I do it. I have no problems with any foods but I monitor my calories and everything I put in my mouth. I try make good food choices and avoid slider foods. If you cant eat meat u probably too tight or not breaking it down enough. Chew chew chew.

    March Bandsters!

I have 6.8 cc and I'm at 1/2 cup food per meal. I do feel I'm restricted and like I'm in the green zone. Go for next fill on the 29th I'm sure I want need one. I try not eat eat more than 1/2 cup that's where I was told to stay. I eat 2 meals a day and 1 protein shake and exercise. It has been going great. After the last fill I am able to stay at the 1/2 cup mark. Prior to that at 1 cup. I eat 2oz (1/4 cup) of meat 2 oz veggie (1/4 cup) or sometimes just 4oz meat, all depends. I am concerned about this not being healthy, my thyroid level was high and its always normal and my potassium was low. My pcp says quick weight loss can cause this, and will recheck levels in a month. Goodluck.

    Required Shake Brand?

I use whey protein from walmart, as long as it has enough protein, low carb, low sugar my dr dont care. But he does sell a brand at the office but its expensive and not gonna pay all that money it might be nasty. To me this brand is tolerable.
