How To Make Our Marriage Survive Thru Lapband

Totally agree, if he loves you he will be there whether your are fat or thin. When considering children your relationship needs to be stable or the children tend to be the ones who suffer. Also, remember God has a time for everything, he's in control. Goodluck.
  2. Still awaiting approval and surgery date down 10lbs in one week.

    Just Started The Process!

Hi, and welcome. I have complete my 6 months at True Results and will be having my surgery at West Houston Hospital per my insurance, by Dr. Reilley. Starting pre-op diet tomorrow, the 6 months went by quickly, learn what you can. I lost and gained during that time just like before, hopefully the band is an excellent choice for me. I was also paranoid about going below my BMI, so I'm gonna try to lose 20 lbs on the pre-op diet, although I only have to lose 10 lbs for surgery. Goodluck on your journey.

    Mega Shake

Start my pre-op tomorrow. I can have 2 protein shakes (breakfast/lunch) and for dinner (1 Meat (high protein), 1 veggie (green mostly no carrots, or corn), and 1 fruit (no sugar added). Does not sound like much but glad that I do get dinner. Shopped today for some chicken breast skinless/boneless, fish/tuna fish, turkey burgers, jello/sugar free pudding, water/vitamin water zero cal and frozen veggies. Think I'm set for 2 weeks at least. Very excited gonna enjoy some good food tonight. No surgery date yet, awaiting approval but office say should come quick have UHC. Goodluck on your journey.
  11. Pre-op diet starts tomorrow still awaiting approval and surgery date. Have UHC options choice, hear they approve quickly anyone knows?

  12. If your records was accessed it would be considered a HIPPA violation, since they are not involved in your care. Most people want even waste their time trying to get your info. Don't know what you should tell them in this situation, but goodluck.
  13. Last visit was yesterday, papers submitted to insurance. Awating approval start pre-op diet on this friday or monday. Yea , I'm on my way. Wish me luck.

    Post Op Popularity????

I believe they do kinda forget about this site once banded you never hear from them unless there's a problem. I love this site but once I'm banded next year, I'm gonna make myself available like I am now for those who need support. That's just who I am.

    Lap Band Surgery Insurance Denial

Sorry to hear you were denied, is it because they don't cover wls through your job. That may be the reason although we have insurance sometimes through our employers they elect to not cover the procedure. I have UHC also, now I'm concerned, but the clinic I attend did verify that its covered through my insurance and I also called. They say as long as I use my companys hospital it will be covered. Don't give up, keep fighting but if it isn't covered I've heard on here on this site that its a lost cause. So get your benefit summary, it will tell you or try UHC online it will tell you there also. Wishing you luck.
  19. Hope all is well in your journey, have not heard from u in a bit. keep us posted, take care.

  20. Ready and waiting for the new year, to start my journey. It has been a long road but I'm ready for change in all aspects of my life. This site has a lot support to offer look forward to sharing my journey to those who wish to listen.

    The Importance Of Being Honest...

You hit it right on the nose and that's what I intended to do once I'm banded. I want to be successful and gonna do what my dr tells me too to be successful. If you have will power all is possible and I'm determined to lose this weight, so I can be healthier and happier. I'm doing this for me, I remember when I was smaller how happy and full of life I was, now with this weight it seems like everything has slowed down a bit. I recently started weight training and exercising preparing myself for banding. My goal is to try to lose 12 lbs this month, even it I don't lose it all I can say I gave it my best. Thanks for the post.
  22. I had to do 6 months also, now I'm down to my last month. I can tell you that it went very quickly. During the last 5 months, I learned how, what and what not to eat once banded. This has really been a learning experience for me. I think that all that I've learned will help me be successful in my journey to a thinner me. Utilize this time to learn as much as you can. Good luck to you on your journey.

  24. It's okay to be nervous as I am myself. My anticipated surgery month is in Feb also. You are heading down the right track, not only am I doing this for myself. I would love to be around to see my kids grow up. Weight loss is the best thing anyone can do, to live a long and healthier life. As long as your family is behind you, you will do great. There's a lot of good support on this site. Feel free to ask questions or voice concerns. Good luck on your journey to becoming a healthier you.
  25. Now that I'm down to my last visit, the anxiety over having surgery has really kicked in. I'm hoping that when the time comes, that all goes well.
