Stace2882 replied to mazymorty's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 3 days out too how are you feeling? I'm still in a lot of pain and I'm not hungry at all! But in order to take these percocets without getting nauseas I have to eat so im just having chocolate liquid Breakfast with a blended banana. Taste so good but I have zero appetite (never thought I'd say that lol) but to answer your question yes that's normal your stomach is still healing and very sensitive good luck With everything! -

I just got home had surgery yesterday morning. I ended up having to stay the night since I was in extreme pain. I was surprised since everyone's always posting how easy and painless it went. Why was I so unfortunate?? I did everything right with my pre op diet :,( and I'm usually pretty pain tolerate. All they gave me was 5 cc of liquid Percocet my surgeon never came and checked on me i was so scared and alone until they finally let my mom in and see me FOUR hours later. The scars don't hurt it's more inside of my stomach that hurts. Im a million times better today thnk god and im relieved this is finally over with. I know everybody's different and I don't mean to scare anyone that hasn't gone in yet, but I suggest arranging plans for Meds incase you stay the night cus since my doctor left they couldn't give me anything that worked. Sorry for the rant but I had to get it out, because today is the first day of my new life and I believe the hardest part is over. Thnx for listening guys xoxo -

How Does The Protein Shake Pre-Op Diet Affect You Mentally?
Stace2882 replied to MoreThanJustaPrettyFace's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
im one week out on this 2week pre op diet and honestly the first two days were extremely hard for me, but the third day was alot easier! popsicles tomato soup jello etc.. those will help the stomach growls also WATER was my best friend lol i think it will be kind of a good thing youll be taking finals during this diet, it will keep you and your mind busy! at times if you feel like its too hard and feel like giving up ask yourself how bad do u want this? i just kept telling myself 14days is a tiny sacrifice to have a happier healthier life! xoxo goodluck! -
The Infamous Pre-Op Diet..
Stace2882 replied to newme2012's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
newme2012 im on the exact same pre-op diet right now! i have one more week of it until surgery on monday feb 27th. ok yes it is hard as hell at first to just giving up the will to go to the fridge and get whatever you want, BUT as long as you keeptelling yourself its worth it and not to cheat you will be ok. sugar free popsicles sugar free jell-o help me alot to curb my cravings. dont overwhelm yourself with worrying about two long weeks without chewable food, focus on ONE day at a time. idk if your doc gave an ok for carnation instant breakfast shakes but the chocolate ones are soooo good! i have lost 10lbs just this first week if i can do it so can you! at the end of this journey you will be so proud of yourself you CAN do this! xoxo -

to be honest reading your post made me really sad.. im sure alot of ppl on this site can understand the feeling of hating your weight and not wanting to do anything or go anywhere! but getting that surgery was a way to change your life! im lazy too thats how i got this way in the first place, but i want to change how i look and feel. even if its just a walk in the park with your kid.. or walk to the store instead of driving. you were givin a second chance on your health and weight and you should take full advantage of this! you risked your life going under for surgery and you owe it to your 4 yr old and yourself to make it worth it!! once you start excersing and little by little the lbs start coming off that will be the boost you need. When you say picky eater what do u like to eat? ive been using baby bowls to eat evertything to monitor portions.. because honestly you can have pizza if u want, just have one slice or even TWO and have a side salad with it. my dietician taught me u dont have to starve yourself to lose weight or just eat veggies 24/7 its all in portion control and balancing nutrition. im sorry for going on and on it just you seem like a real good person and i want ot see you succeed! you went thru so much to get and have the surgery for it to lead no where is a big disappointment. i wish you the best of luck with everything!

Hey Stace! yes the 6 month kinda blows but it goes by pretty fast after the 2nd month. i take it as a trial run to how im going to start eating after the surgery. theres no way i would be successful if i ate how i was eating then next day had a tiny stomach! so im learning to eat smaller so when i have the surgery the pounds will drop off **fingers crossed** Good luck, youll do great!!
-
Hi everyone! ive been reading other posts and im getting more and more excited to get banded and have as much success as you guys! Only thing driving me CRAZY is this damn 6month "i can change program"" for my insurance. i wish i looked into this before i decided surgery because i would have been banded by now! its just very frustrating. but on the up side im learning how to eat slower and smaller portions AND eating breakfast wich i never did before.. has anyone heard or gone through this program before? its only been about 2 months and its draaaaaaaaging
