I thought it was weird too after I started reading everyone's posts. I haven't had the chance to ask him why yet. I go to see him on Thursday. I am kinda worried about my liver being damaged during surgery. I have my final list of questions to ask him. I am very nervous. I know that it will be worth it in the end, but getting there is going to be more than half the fun!!!! :speechles

As my day draws closer, the more nervous I get. I know that it will be worth it all in the end. That is the only thing that is keeping me from canceling the surgery. It doesnt help that my support group thinks that maybe I should try one more time to loose the weight without the surgery. I coming close to being my highest weight, again.... I have never been sedated before. I am a control freak and being sedated is not an easy idea for me to get use to. I know the day of the surgery I am probably going to make myself sick worrying. Now I wouldn't say that I am eating everything in sight. I do have that mentally of I gotta eat this before I am not able to again. On Friday my hunny is taking me out to dinner to celebrate Valentines Day and the last Big Juicy Steak I will eat for a very long time, if ever. My doctor has not put me on a diet before the surgery. I would like to say today was SIX WEEKS without a cigarette!!! My motivation to quit was the surgery. I was fine with the cravings till today when I worked my mind into a nervous frenzy about the surgery. Its funny, what made me quit is what is making me want a drag real bad!!! HA Ha ha.....:heh:

That is my major concern. I am more worried about the anesthesia than the surgery. I am a week before my surgery and I have major anxiety about this. :phanvan

I actually scheduled everything at once when I recieved the approval from my insurance. My insurance approved me based on an application. I have my appointments on Thursday. My surgery is the Tuesday after. It seems that my doctor and insurance company are very different from everyone elses. I have United Health Care of Texas and Carter Lap Band Center is doing the surgery. Unlike others on the forum, I am not required to have a certain diet prior to my surgery, except the day before the surgery. Has anyone else had this experience?

I am scheduled to be banded on 2/20 by Dr Carter in Fort Worth. :whoo: I am excited and nervous at the same time. I was approved by my insurance in January, after a three week waiting to hear from them. I am lucky apparently, my insurance is covering the surgery 100%. I am putting together a surgery survival kit for the day of the surgery and the week after. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. :crutch:

I am in Arlington and I am scheduled to have surgery on 2/20/07. I am having it done by Dr. Carter in FW. There are quite a few people that has had the band done where I work. They are all happy with the results so far.
