I am now 7 months post surgery and have lost 35 lbs. However, I have been at the same weight for the last month or 2 even though I am following all instructions. I have had all of my fills, and even had to get my last one let out a little as I was getting sick often. I exercise regularly and have been eating what was suggested by my doctor. Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone have any suggestions on how to get past this plateau?

7 Months Post Lap Band Surgery - At a Plateau

Yea that sounds very familiar! I too am not making the best decisions 100% of the time, but overall am really following the instructions. I have only lost 35 lbs - 70 lbs is great! Congrats! My issue though is that I had a fill of 6 cc but was getting sick quite often. So they let out .5 cc so now I am at 5.5. I don't think I can go back to 6 as I was scared to eat since I was getting sick pretty often. But I don't feel like I'm at the fullest I should be either since I am not totally satisfied after I eat... Ugh. Makes me feel better to know that someone else is experiencing the same thing. It's like a 7 month curse! -

I'm at the same place! I had a fill that was too tight, and my doctor let it out a little bit and I don't know if I have lost ANY weight! Let me know happens!

This is some GREAT information! I am at a standstill right now, 7 months post surgery, after losing 35 lbs. I am really down, but this information seems very useful and I'm going to try it out! Thanks again!

This most likely means you just ate to quickly. I had this issue soon post surgery and soon after I had a fill that was too tight. Your stomach and body are still getting used to it, so I was told that the food is pretty much caught in your esophagus - almost backed up - because you ate to quickly and your stomach can only hold so much. Just eat slower, smaller spoonfuls and hopefully you won't feel it again. Good luck!
