Glad to hear the painful part has passed. My surgery has been pushed up to this Thursday, I can't wait!!!! I've been cleaning the house and getting all my stuff ready. I have waited sooooo long for this!

HAPPY DANCE!!!!!! I've been thinking about this for 10 years and started the process exactly a year ago. I finally have a date! August 16th Kaiser West LA but I'm on a wait list if there's any cancellations soooo.... Yippeeee!!!!!

Oh yeah not looking in horror at the plastic folding chairs people have at summer gatherings and deciding to stand instead!

I've been reading everyone's NSV posts a few of mine are: Packing to go on a trip and not freaking about what to wear. Having room in my suitcase because it won't be full of Lane GIANT size 22 clothes. Fitting in my airplane seat. Seeing plays at all the great little theaters here in Los Angeles and fitting in the seat and not pressing against the person next to me! 31 days to go!!!! Happy Dancing!!!!

Hi Everyone, I'm Michele T addict, alcoholic, cancer survivor, and friend of Bill's celebrating 7 years sober today. What a gift! I'm getting sleeved on Aug 16 and really aware that my disease can manifest is many other places. Today a cute guy on a motorcycle smiled at me and I was high for an hour (oh and for that hour I almost forgot I was married) Everything is a drug to me so I've stepped up my meetings and when I read the BB I am always reading it and putting food, shopping, men, ect in place of alcohol. I'm in the midst of a deep 4th step right now to try to clean out the cobwebs and be ready for this next phase of my amazing journey. Nice to know there are others here. Hugs, Michele

I'm so excited (surgery Aug but wait listed for sooner) that I cleaned out all my closets and drawers and couple nights ago. I crashed my friends yard sale today and sold a ton of stuff and took the rest to a thrift store. It was so freeing to get rid of stuff. I kept the summer clothes that fit now and 20's, 18's and 16's I've had packed away. A year ago my life was so dark with a breast cancer diagnosis, a double mastectomy, 6 mons of chemo and then being told I was too obese for reconstruction. Tomorrow I celebrate 7 years sober then I have surgery coming up and reconstruction on the horizon. Life is freakin' awesome again!

I can't wait to do anything! My knees are so messed up. I'm hoping the weight coming off will allow me to take longer walks and bicycle and maybe even do some exercise classes again.

33 days and never been so ready for anything in my life!

I wanna stock up cuz I love the vanilla but I'm trying not to practice old behavior I know what ya mean about hanging on, I have size 22 down to 16 and lemme just say I was almost into a 24 this past winter. I really wanna get rid of the stuff but there's fear because of all the yoyo dieting my whole life. Hopefully this tool will change all that.

Hi August losers. I love the Premiere protein at Costco (30 grams) but I'm apprehensive about stocking up cuz I too have heard taste changes after surgery. I've been spending the evening cleaning out dressers and closets. I put all my size 22 winter clothes in garage, hopefully I will be giving them away shortly after surgery. My drawers look so much bigger now! I just don;t want to jinx anything by giving stuff away yet but I'm sure happy to know I won't have to dress like I did much longer! Michele an excited August LOOOOOSER!!!!!!!!

No more negative self talk sister, we have to be kind to our selves. I don;t care for my legs either but we're gonna do the work and change our bodies and our lives will be so different and hopefully wonderful! xo
