I am thirty years old and have two children. I have battles with my weight my entire life. I have lost huge amounts and gained huge amounts right back. I can hold it off for about six months and feel great and than it creaps back on. I recently went to a seminar and have made up my mind that this is a life changing thing that I really need. I am choosing lap band because I think that it is a tool and that with it I will be able to work my way to a healthier me. So I called my insurance company United Health Care Pro Choice and they said that it is covered as long as BMI is 40 or over and they need five years of medical history that show that I have been overweight. So I called the doctors office and the next step is that they will contact the insurance to be sure that it is covered than I need a letter from my primary. He has seen me struggle and perscribed me ever crack pill out there and watched me fail miserably. So although he is not a fan of WLS I think he will be supportive. So cross your fingers for me and lets see if I get to have the happy ever that many of the rest of you do. I am ready to love my body again and be athletic again. My measurements 5 7 266.
