I had been struggling with weight loss most of my life, I had researched in 2003 the gastric bypass, but was denied figuring it was my age or healthy when in fact I found that my company chooses not to cover anything bariatric, It took me a while to clear my head and get on the right track, after several emotional roller coasters and diets later, I finally decided I needed to change my life and make it better, I have 2 nieces and a nephew that I want to see grow old and I have told myself that I refuse to be hooked into oxygen or in a wheelchair when I am older, so I finally took charge of my life and did what I had to do in order to have the surgery...June 13, 2011 was the best day of my "new" life and it is only going to be getting better!
