  1. I will be 4 weeks on Friday. We have lost the same amount. Sounds like you had a rough few weeks. Sorry to hear that. I had the exhaustion for a couple of weeks then felt great. This is such a great tool and it's so exciting to feel the clothes getting baggier. Continued success, it just gets better from here on out.

    When Did You Add Salad?

I work next to an awesome soup and salad restaurant and have been dying for one of their salads. I'm just scared to try one yet but I have been able to eat pretty much anything so I may give it a try this week.

2 weeks out- missing my Tabasco!

I love Salsa and Chipotle. I started using it at 2 weeks post op with no problems. The only thing I have noticed is everything sweet is now sweeter and anything spicy tastes even more spicy.
  4. It will be interesting to see what it says. There's no way we could eat that many calories now so I'm curious to see what they say. I'm joining a gym tomorrow and I hope working out for the first time in a while won't be too hard since I'm newly sleeved. I'll be curious to see what those results say. Keep us posted.
  5. Great Thanksgiving. I ate very little. Had no desire to eat more and no craving for sweets. Love my sleeve!

  6. For any of you that speak Spanish, I want to get a tattoo that says, "love my sleeve" in Spanish, since I was sleeved in Mexico. My freind from Honduras doesn't know how to spell it since shirt sleeve and tatto sleeve are different and he doesn't have a clue about a stomach sleeve. Does anyone know how it should be spelled? Thanks.
  7. Today I am thankful for 3 beautiful daughters and my new sleeve!

    Hispanic Gastric Sleevers - Question

Paola, thanks a lot. I think I like "amo mi manga". Chrissy I went to Dr. Kelly in TJ. Love, love, love him. I had a picture perfect post op. No pain, no gas, felt like I didn't even have surgery until the exhaustion hit me about day 6. But at about 15 days out I felt compeletely back to normal.
  9. I was sleeved on Nov. 4th and I just went through an 11 day stall. I was getting about 400 calories a day so for 2 days I increased it to about 700 and on the 3rd day I lost a little over a pound and then the next (today) lost about a 1/4 lb. So, it definitely happens between the 2nd and 3rd week. I'm a control freak too so I know how you feel, it's frustrating.
  10. I woke up with some nausea but no pain, no gas and felt awesome. I don't drink enough water but that's because I don't try hard enough to remember not because it won't go down. I have felt very blessed to have no complications or problems whatsoever.
  11. I am 18 days post op and haven't lost any weight for about 10 or 11 days. I know my protein and calories are right where they should be, I use myfitnesspal to track it. But where should I be on carbs? There's nothing in my paperwork to say how many carbs I should be getting and I have no clue.

    My Fitness Pal Question

You should probably have Schwan's near you. They deliver to your work and home and they have the worlds best frozen veggies. You can even preorder online from their website. They have the best blends of veggies with just the right seasonings. The mediterranian blend and the brocolli and cheese are 2 of my favorites.

When can i start really working out.

My Dr. said wait 4 weeks to exercise and 6 weeks for anything more like weights. But I love resistance bands, they are pretty reasonable at Wal-Mart. You can also get some workout DVDs at Wal-Mart like the Biggest Loser workouts and they are fun.

    Dr. Said To Wait.....

My Dr. said to wait 4 weeks to work out but said I could swim after 2 weeks. This Friday will be 3 weeks so I'm ready to go to the gym and atleast swim and play a little basketball or racketball with my daughter.
  15. After an 11 day stall the scale has finally moved. WooHoo.

  17. 18 days out and the scale has not moved for about 11 days. GRRRR

  18. 18 days out and the scale has not moved for about 11 days. GRRRR

  19. Hi, I'm 42 and had surgery on Nov. 4th. I started out at 257 and now I'm 233, I'm 5'7". I notice some of the sweetness issues others are talking about but not too much. I seem to be losing very slow, I haven't seen the scale move for 11 days and it's very frustrating. I know it's gotta move soon. No sickness for me, I've been very lucky about that and I can eat lots of different stuff. Send me a message any time and I'll help if I can even if it's just for encouragement.
  20. First week I lost about 9 lbs. 2nd week 1 lb. Come on scale, move!

  21. I'm 13 days post of and I've never been so exhausted in my whole life. I'm only gettinga about 400 calories and maybe 20-25 grams of protein. It's getting a little better and cottage cheese is my new best friend.
  22. 2 day stall, only 11 days post op. How is that possible when I only eat about 400 calories at most?

  23. I'm 10 days post op and everything has gone down and stayed down well. But I worry that I'm not getting enough calories or protein. I can eat about 1/4 cup at a time and I know I'm not drinking enough but I can't seem to get more liquid in. It gets a little better each day but it is scary.

If I had to choose just one soup... this would be it.

That looks amazing. I'm only 10 days post op and can't wait to make it. Thanks.
  25. I'm 10 days post op and for some reason I am craving meat. It's driving me crazy.
