  1. Day 2 is definitely worse than day 1, that's for sure! I am now experiencing the bad gas pains and even with the gas x, it still is pretty bad! I am also much more sore today and I am a weiner when it comes to pain so of course I am thinking " what the hell did i just do?" but I know in a couple days I will be feeling much better!
  2. I just got banded yesterday and I completely agree with my fellow posters..This is day 2 and I am definitely thinking "what the hell did I just do" but I still feel good about my decision! I just don't like being sore like this and not being able to pick up my 10 month old, it's hard not to just scoop up your child when he is crying for you, you know? But overall I feel ok and I KNOW why I did this. You will be fine!! Good luck to you!!
  3. Surgery was this morning, I have 7 incisions since it was done by the robot and I had a hiatal hernia, but overall I am doing well! I took some gas x this afternoon so I wouldn't have gas in my shoulder and so far I haven't!

  4. Gotta be at the hospital for my surgery tomorrow at 6:30am..so nervous!!!!

  5. I get it. All people are different; we gain differently and we lose differently. But as a general question- I am 5 ft 3/4 in and I currently weigh 206 (pre-op started at 216) and I am 26 years old...figuring that in again as the general population, should be skin bounce back or do you think I will have alot of sag?
  6. I haven't been officially diagnosed with TMJ, but I know I have it. My surgery is next Thursday and I am concerned about them seriously hurting my jaw when they go to intubate (sp?) Most days in the morning I have to put my finger on the outside of my cheek where the jaw hinges and unlock it so I can open my mouth all the way..so my question is what can I do or say to get them to either put bite guards in my mouth while I am still awake so my jaw doesn't lock when I fall to sleep or some thing else to keep my mouth open? The last thing I want is to wake up in excruciating pain from my jaw because they broke it or something...eek!

    What's your Band's name?

You all went with something semi-funny!! I named my band Rory-which is short for Aurora, which means "Dawn"..so I am seeing her as a new dawn; a new beginning if you will!!
  10. Day 5 on my pre-op..I lost 1.2 lbs so that makes my total 7.8 lbs lost :)

  11. Today is day 3 and I am down 5 lbs! :)

Thinking of you and hoping for a speedy recovery!

I am also a November bandster-we do have our group on Facebook, it is completely private and no one can see it except for those who are in it. It's an amazing group, but I definitely agree that LBT should implement this kind of feature!

My surgery date is November 17 and I'll start my pre-op diet next Thursday! I can't wait!!
  24. It took forever to get clearance from the doctors with all that I had going on, but yea-they submitted to Tricare on Monday and I checked the website daily and this morning there was an approval so it did go relatively fast! Definitely stay positive and if you do have co-morbidities, just know that its usually an automatic approval! Good luck to you!!!
