Not much story as of today.  I have always had an issue with weight, my whole life.  Growing up with smaller and skinner family members, I was very aware that I was bigger,  always getting the clothes at christmas time that were black, or looked more like what my mother would wear, than what my skinny sister and blond drill-team-leader cousin would receive.  Maybe thats why I wear alot of color these days..... but I digress.  Since my husband and I met 6 years ago, I have gained over 100 pounds .  I was 170 when we met and my husband was built and going to the gym constantly.  Now, I am at 275 and my husband at 300+.  Throughout our time together, always being aware that we were gaining weight and trying to do something about it, but nothing really ever working for us.  We have been married for 2 years now and are ready to start a family.  That is why I chose Lap Band.  We want kids.  We want to start a happy and healthy family.  I have taken all the tests and the only thing that is stopping me now, is weight.  Nothing against those women who choose to get pregnant overweight, but I refuse.  I want to begin now to get heathly, before I decide to bring another life into this world. 
Right now, I am waiting for the call back from Dr. Cribbins to see if I am approved.  I have gone to all 4 Nutritionalist, 3 Dietition and the Psych appointments, now is just the wait time. 
Looking over this website, I really feel that I have missed out,  like I don't know anything about what will happen, how my life will change after surgery.  These blogs are out there, I knew they were, but I never took the time to check them out.  Maybe it's that I don't really believe that it's possible to loose weight, or get the band.  But that'll be something I'll have to work out on my own... again, I digress.
 If you have any information that I have to know before surgery, please email me.  Also, whats the difference between the effects of Lap Band and the Sleeve?  I have had 3 friends get the Sleeve in the past year, but no one with the Band.
