All of my life I have struggled with weight. As a kid, I was "kinda chubby", as a teenager I had a "great personality"(aka..not my type, shes too big) and was called "Betty Boop" A LOT. As a wife and mother I have seen my weight do a fun little balancing act..going up and down. Then my husband, and love of my life left for Iraq, and took half of my heart with him. One day I got on the scale at a friends house and decided..enough is enough! I had seen firsthand the incredble results my sister and good friend had with lapband surgery...so on my own, quietly, I investigated. Then I met a fantastic surgeon, and I prayed about what to do. After talking with my amazing husband, I committed to my game plan. That was two months ago...
   I was approved for my surgery the day before my birthday, and I felt like I had been given the greatest of presents. Since then I have lost 38lbs. I will be having my lapband procedure TWO DAYS from today, on the 27th...and I couldn't be happier. This is the start of the new me. The me that has been trapped in a fat girls body for far too long. I look forward to sharing my journey through pictures eventually...something I have always dreaded, as I was never happy with the way I looked. Now I am excited to see the transformation.
     Questions...Yes, Allan wishes he was here, but is extremely supportive. No, I am not going to do a lot of body shot pics on FB until after his return...gotta keep him guessing. LoL. I am excited, nervous, and ready to take this leap. Now that I have bared it all to all of you..I only hope for your support in return.
