I didn't lose that much before my surgery, 9 lbs I think. I have lost a lot since the surgery 6 days ago, 15 lbs total. Don't worry about the mistake, we are sure to make a lot of them as we go through this process.
Thanks ElizabethAnn....I am just counting down now. Surgery in 4 days, shakes are gross and my anxiety is off the charts. I'll be so happy when the surgery is over. I appreciate the support and I know i'll have lots of questions.
I'll admit that I cheated too on the first day. I felt guilty by today is a new day and I'm just keeping my eye on the bigger prize. I appreciate your honesty Shannon...I don't feel all alone...lol
Hi Enoughisenough....I am feeling the same way. The shakes are terrible. They have an awful aftertaste. I was instructed to have 4 to 5 of them a day. My surgeon also said if I was still hungry I could eat a small chicken breast grilled or a lean cuisine under 300 calories. I have tried to stay busy when I get hungry to take my mind off the hunger. Walking sometimes helps. Hang in there surgery is just around the corner.
HI my name is Debra Valentine
I am scheduled for surgery in 6 days!!!!! Yikes, it is getting so close. I am dealing with a mixture of feelings and emotions. I am ready to lose weight and to start having a more active life but I am nervous about the surgery and having a foreign object inside of me. Not sure if anyone else feels/felt the same way...
I just started the pre-op shakes and would love any suggestions on making them taste better.
I am looking forward to meeting new people that are on the same path.
Just wanted to introduce my self as a new member of this group. I am scheduled for banding on April 20th and just started the pre-op diet yesterday. Any advice or suggestions would be welcomed.
Wow Catherine, you seem to be moving fast through the process. I had my appointment with the nutritionist 7 weeks ago and am still waiting for an appointment to see the psychiatrist. I'm thinking it is an insurance thing and slow nurses handling the paperwork. I am hoping to have my surgery by the end of September.
Hi everyone. I am in the early stages of approval for the Lap Band surgery and am not sure what to expect. Any advice or information would be appreciated.
