Oh, please at me "Tarada9" to August 10th. I'm having the sleeve in Mexico.

Hi there! I know how you feel. Myself and both of my parents are scheduled for plication in Tijuana on August 10th. I have decided that I am going to switch to the sleeve though. I went back and forth and back and forth between the two. However, I just don't feel comfortable not knowing anything about the long term effects of having your stomach all folded and squashed up. I know it is advertised as being safer, but there are some pretty serious complications being witnessed with plication too. I seem to have found better weight loss results with the sleeve online. My parents, however, have done their own due diligence and seem most comfortable with the plication. I guess you just have to see what feels right to you. Whichever you choose I'm sure you will do great. Once you have made your mind up on which you want, try to do something to take your mind off the surgery, or you'll make yourself sick with anxiety. My Dad, Mom and I are all having Gastric Sleeve Plication done in Tijuana with Dr. Ortiz at the Obesity Control Center. My Dad is 65, so it's not a problem. We will have our surgery on Aug. 10th. I'll let you know how it goes. Dr. Ortiz was listed by Newsweek as one of the top 15 bariatric surgeons in the world.
