@@sleevenv, was sleeved on June 15. Hungry too but think it is head hunger. I hope tomorrow helps as I can add deli meat and fish. The eggs and cottage cheese are not setting well. I did make egg drop Soup today and it worked well. If anyone has trouble with the eggs try it. I drank some hot tea when I felt hungier, the warmth helped some.

No carbonation with the sleeve or otherwise, it is not worth it after going through surgery. If I wanted to stay fat and keep drinking the soda I would not have undergone the surgery. What is most important to you ? -
@@rntraveler We are all rooting for you, you are going to do great !! I am out two weeks now and am so pleased with how things are going. Let us know how you are as soon as you are up to it. God Bless !!

no alcohol for one year - and no carbonation for life Beer is carbonated so no beer at all -
Well today was the beginning of stage 3, eggs and cottage cheese. The cottage cheese was fine but the egg did not work. Made it scrambled and it would not go down so threw it up. Not the first best outcome from my first food. Maybe I ate it too fast or did not chew up good. Did not even eat the whole egg just a couple of bites. Wondering if it would work better in egg drop soup. Did hard boil three to try. Added a little mayo and sweetener and smashed one up good, stayed down anyway.

I found that posting about the soda, it was from Nov 2014. Not sure why it shows up so recently. Thanks for caring Queen

Not sure where I have been drinking any carbonation, stopped it on June 9th, cold turkey. That was the beginning of my preop diet. Have not missed it at all, which surprises me. First visit back to doc today since surgery and am down 17 lbs. Down thirty which includes time before the preop. This has not been difficult at all, which helps.

Well I am back !! Surgery on Monday, at home on Wednesday. Not a surgery problem, not enough, but was ok by Wednesday. Doing great, no pain pills since Tuesday. Sore of course from the stitches, but it is minimal. Have the liquid diet now for two weeks< don"t care much for it had to be done> Did fine for the 10 days before surgery, and I am sure I will this time. Thanks for all the warm wishes !!!

Thanks for all the good wishes, excited but a little nervous too,but I know it will pass. All of your successes help me to know that I am doing the right thing. Love you all, my good friends

Thanks for the responses about sleeve vs bypass. I feel confident about my decision. Just now anxiously waiting for Monday, just four days left of the liquid diet !!! So excited that this is finally happening. @@Queen of Crop Just bought your book, can't wait to read it !!

@@laura4923 Congrats on the 19#. I gained 17 lbs and 10 lbs two different occasions due to starting new medicine but I have taken that off, so feel like I gained and lost twice. But they were happy with where I am and I have lost about 9 lbs just in the last five days on the liquid diet, now only five more days to go. You are waiting patiently like I have been doing. There is only one thing I am sad about and that is postponing a trip to Texas. this weekend is my niece's 40th birthday bash. I chose to stay and not put off the surgery. It was a tough decision but I have waited too long to put it off, And she understands. We decided we would take a trip together to Florida in a few months. That would be exciting to go with a new body, lol

What am I doing wrong. I can change my weight under status update, but why is it not showing up on my ticker ?

@@laura4923 It is going good Laura, only been hungry couple of times. I am divorced and my son is grown so I was able to get all the food out of the house. There are no temptations, which suits me fine. I told a friend that we needed to go to lunch next week and she said she couldn't and eat in front of me. I told her that I just can't home and avoid the restaurants, it is somethng that I have to get used to. I told her that I would begin eating again but it has changed and I will do fine. How are you doing in the weight loss department ?

Today was my pre-op class and it went all day, all the tests and lectures, but am all set up for the 15th. 14-day liquid diet but mine will only be 10, lucky break. We had nine in the class and only two of us are doing the sleeve, all others are Roux n y. Did I miss something ? I have heard not to do the roux n y. Any thoughts ?

I finally did the last thing that they wanted, to get my A1C down. I did, from 8.9 to 6.9, amazing !! Now will wait to hear when I can see the surgeon. I am so excited and feel like I am finally moving forward.

@@bestisyettocome859, have you had surgery yet ?

@@Queen of the crop, congrats on the book, anxious to read it. I have not been on here much, still no date for surgery. My A1C is holding me up. I get it checked again next week and hopefully it will be where it should. I had a glitch in my medicaid also and had to spend time getting it straightened out. I turned 60 last week, but like you I want to stay in this group and hope everyone wont boot me out Going to try and be on here more, not getting that date has been a struggle and thought of just giving up, but I can't and I won't.

Hello friends, long time since I have been on here. Just been busy with things. Brother passed away two months ago and I have made 3 trips to Texas. I still am waiting for a date. My A1C has been all over the place and they won't do it until I have it under control. Eating is good but my sugar keeps going up. Changing meds to see what will work and I think the regimen I am on now is going to work. I missed somthing to turn onto medicade, that was while I was in texas, Now trying to straighten that out. Trying not to be discourage butnot easy. glad that everyone is doing so well
